  1. Saunton Sands in North Devon, been going there since the 70s,
  2. Do you still have any of these for sale?
  3. I have had mine from new 18 years, never failed and been a great saw.
  4. Yep, another yes for Oregon here, top quality.
  5. I have owned a 365 Special for 18 years and it has always done it, the 135 MK2 does not do it but my 881 does do it about as much as the Husky, the 365 and the 881 has the oil turned up to full if that makes any difference.
  6. It is a great saw, I am a Husky fan but I have no problems recommending this, simply stunning. Running the Granberg Milling chains on my 36" bar.
  7. having read numerous post on these pages and elsewhere I thought I would try out some Granberg Ripping Chains, found some at Chainsaw Bars so ordered 2 x 108 chains to run on my 881, the pair of them turn up and unfortunately one was fine but the other one was 98 drive links not 108, so emailed them on the 9th at gone 9 o'clock in the evening, first thing the following morning had an email to send it back and to let them know how much the postage was, I also received a picture of the package of the new one they sent before I returned the old one, the new one was received on the 11th with a Jiffy for return with the postage on it, I did get refunded on the post as I had sent before the new turned up so I will pop that back in the post to them. Everyone makes mistakes now and again but it's how the shops deal with it that matters and I think this was great service, will be using them again.
  8. I've been told by Hayes Machinery that end of March is a strong possibility but then I asked her why they have been delayed and got no reply.
  9. Yep, separated shoulder years ago and numerous other injuries, weren't too bad at the time but now days I feel them all.
  10. THIS ADVERT HAS EXPIRED!

    • FOR SALE
    • USED

I bought this new some years ago for a garden hedge approx 40ft and has been used to cut this twice a year. New Poll Saw attachment makes this surplus to requirements. In excellent condition and works as it should. Please no PayPal, cash on collection from Thurrock Essex.

    £170

    South Ockendon, Thurrock - GB

  11. Congratulations, I got this amongst other stuff
  12. I second the the 135 MK 2, really pleased with it, use it mostly for delimbing and firewood, imo easy enough to work on, great little saw for the money.
  13. I understand what you're saying but everything I have got is for 3/8, electric sharpener, files and if I get the new saw with a 36" bar (now correct me if I am wrong here) I was hoping to use my spare bars and chains from the 365SP. Saves me buying loads of new stuff.
  14. Oh that's interesting, if memory serves the 395 is similar power? nice to hear from someone who has used that size bar, thanks.
  15. Thanks for the reply, been looking and one of the options is the 36", wondering if that size motor would be enough for Milling.
  16. Thinking of buying the new Husqvarna 592XP for milling and general use, does anyone know how long a bar this would take other than 28? I am used to the 365SP which I bought new I think in 2004 with a 24" bar but ideally I would like possibly a 36" as by the time I put it in an Alaskan Mill I will probably loose 6" of usable length. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
  17. Thank you very much, it has been a thing over the years of people trying to guess what it was and it took 5 minutes on here, thanks again.
  18. Just been up there and noticed these, over to you guys.
  19. Hello, no not conclusively, I checked yesterday to see if any buds had appeared but not as yet. Quite a few think it is a Willow but when the buds arrive I will update the photo and I am sure with the wealth of experience someone will know.
  20. Same here, been following him for some years, some of his stuff is a bit dear but top quality, very down to earth type of guy.
  21. I wouldn't have said catkins but something similar. I cannot remember exactly myself now, not really taken a lot of notice as iI know nothing about trees but I will keep an eye out now as we should see something on it in the next few weeks hopefully.
  22. Hello, thanks for the reply, no it does not give any nuts.
  23. Thanks for the reply, no I don't think so as there has never been a hedge up there, this land originally was part of an orchard.
  24. Thanks for reply's guys, I will update the picture when it buds, might make it a bit easier. Someone did say that i should remove that left limb because apparently it's dangerous, it's been there for the best part of 40 years, what do you all think?
