  3. A couple of times before I've accumulated a number of larger stump grinding jobs together (in the Borders) and hired a decent tracked grinder for a week from Kipper Hire who are up towards Kinross. They might be too far from you. Kipper Hire WWW.KIPPERHIRE.COM Kipper Hire are arb machinery specialists based in Central Scotland – Just off the M90 at Junction 6. Long...

  6. I've spoken to management Master Ted. It has been agreed you're excused yesterday's absence on account of your previous exemplary record of attendance and it being the day of our lord. Hope you're well.

  10. Morning all. Out for breakfast this morning with a mate, just chores this afternoon. We had a good one yesterday, great picnic and a few showers but mostly sun. Poppes found a decent shelter when required and young Winnie is starting to find her legs on the paddleboard! Have a good one folks.
  11. There are a few unpleasant tasks in tree work but I think the worst thing you can hear is chip customer's existing brash pile. I've never once liked doing it.
  12. You'd be sorely disappointed Les!
  13. Was sitting at the back of the van having lunch the other day when a couple of 'street vendors' approached to ask if "ye wantin tae buy ony ham or cheese pal?". I asked if it was cow or goat, "naw pal, its frae asda like". Being more of an m&s kind of a guy I passed on their amazing offer.

  15. I've worked it out Pete, not a holiday you're having is it, it's a honeymoon! Morning all. Day out planned today. We're meeting friends for a kayaking/paddleboard picnic. Weather could be better but the food will be nice, company good and the Vizslas are highly entertaining on the paddleboard so should be fun. Have a good one folks.
  16. Morning all. Not so fine rain here, it's battering down and has been all night, if the forecast is accurate it should be stopping by time I'm at the yard. Fingers crossed. Have a good one folks.

  19. River work the last couple of days but had to abandon cutting on a quiet section this morning, heard a splash upstream from us too big for a fish, further investigation revealed an Otter holt, verboten!

  21. I was imagining something like this but less pronounced so you can read the writing on top clearly
  22. I'll have a go at a serious reply but I'm not a gifted graphic designer. If you're thinking double sided. The front is picture of splitter in front of timber like the flyer but faded to show writing on top, the business name, strap line, contact details. The back has a subtle pattern, maybe a line drawing of a cut stump from above? with your main points listed, road tow log splitter, uniform logs produced in any quantity, experienced and insured, size 13 boots, whatever.
  23. Naive Forestry!
  24. Scorsha?
  25. I'll guarantee Mick knows how to pronounce it, just give the fiver to me and I'll drop it off to him when I'm next in his neck of the woods.
