  1. As Jonny69 states mattyf, any 46 hyd oil will do. Just up to you if you want to stray away from oem specs. I’m a bit anal with stuff like this and prefer to stay with recommended.
  2. If you cross reference to mobil dte 10 excel 46 which is the equivalent, its still more expensive than shell. How often will you be changing the oil? Might be worth buying 60L to reduce your cost and storing 30L for next time. I’ll keep digging.
  3. Where do you reside mattyf?
  4. Shell tellus 46 hydraulic oil, but its been superseded to shell tellus s2 mx46, page 6 item 6 in spec sheet below. Oil capacity suggests 30L on page 22 section 6 https://www.avantmachinery.shop/documents/catalog/objects/PDFNL/avant-500-series-1-operators-manual-english.pdf
  5. I love rigger boots, prefer the freedom of movement. I think a chainsaw protection version would be great for ground based arb guys/gals, be no good to a climber though obviously.
  6. The MS290 (029) is just shy of 6kg, a MS210/MS230 is roughly 4.6kg and a MS170/MS180 is roughly 4.2kg. You’ll find a tidy one for under £200 no bother. I have the older versions of each apart from the 170. I’d go with 180 (018) or 210 (021) personally.
  7. Am i reading right..... No you want a top handle? Think you might struggle finding a solid tidy one at £200 (stihl) you might av to be nearer £250. They go real quick when they come up. Where you based? Sure most and myself included will keep our eyes peeled [emoji106]

  13. Thanks wonky! [emoji849] and Stubby! MATE! yeah wellies are awful, hard and uncomfortably flat bearing on ya feet, i agree. Hence the ask about the more “luxurious” version.

  15. Ok masta [emoji1391]‍♂️[emoji39]
  16. Mate of mine does a lot if fencing jobs, he swears by em and runs em off a generator with no issues. Lidl (parkside branded) usually £99 and come with a few attatchments. Aldi (workzone branded) also usually around £99 with a few attachments. A lot of my builder/roofer mates buy their combi drill and impact driver sets at £99 with 3yr guarantee, if they drop em off a roof or damage em doing other jobs etc theyre not arsed, just price em in to job. If they go legit faulty then they go bk, and if they last, its a bonus [emoji106] i have aldi drill/impacter at work cos every man and his dog strays away with em but they’ve lasted!
  17. Get the lidl / aldi breakers, 3yr guarantee and cheap as chips, just price it in to job, peach!
  18. Thats why you carry two yolky! [emoji6][emoji39]
  19. Pointed chisel, concrete round the posts is generally mixed with chippings or similar, i.e post fix etc. Breaks away in clumps but better than using a flat edge style chisel. IMO.
  20. Stick to what you know then, you’ll rattle along ok with a galaxy tab i rekon [emoji106]
  21. Tidy job! [emoji108]
