  1. Got one. Still can't get a disc cutter more than 8 inches in a hole.
  2. If given no option yeah and make the hole wider and put in a ton of concrete to compensate. But if the fence is 6 1/2ft and root is say at 14 inches and ground is soft then it's either move the hole or hit the root until it disintegrates.
  3. Huh? An axe? I have one of these which I sharpened and it comes out only for roots but it's still a bastard smashing a 6 inch root to pulp. However, aside from a recip saw it is my only recourse. https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/Garden-Outdoors/Draper-GB-HD-Expert-Ground/B00850ZPIY
  4. Less Got a pedestrian stump grinder that'll get most places that one will. Neither will go much further than 200mm depth I would imagine so useless for those moments you find a 6 inch root 1 1/2ft down a hole. What I want in an ideal world is a concrete chainsaw ?
  5. Bosch wont fit. Needs 32ml hex shank. Need a B-10300 makita spade
  6. This https://www.amazon.co.uk/Makita-B-10300-spade-HM1300-Silver/dp/B00C3JK5OM?SubscriptionId=AKIAILSHYYTFIVPWUY6Q&tag=duc08-21&linkCode=xm2&camp=2025&creative=165953&creativeASIN=B00C3JK5OM God I must stop spending....
  7. Cheers mate. My genny doesn't use a lot of fuel and runs 110/230 so may go for it. I'm wondering if you can get a cutting attachment for these cos I come across stump roots now and then and they can be an absolute killer to get through even using a recip saw etc can take hours of hard graft.
  8. This is what I'm thinking of buying https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Makita-HM1812-AVT-Demolition-Breaker-240v/142379161138?epid=1645517942&hash=item2126759632:g:rKgAAOSwZGJcXCXt:rk:9:pf:0 With a trolley. Titan produces 45 joules of energy 15kg approx Beaver et all approx 63 joules @ 30kg approx That bad boy will produce 73 joules @ 31.3kg I've never had a problem working with electric in the rain in all but heavy down pores or persistent rain which I don't work in any way. Screw that. Pointless unless it's 30 mins to finish a job and in which case I just cover myself and everything with a tarpaulin and carry on. Might get the 110v but like being able to hook up to customers electric without carting an inverter about.
  9. Iveco Daily 3.0 200 ps loaded to 3. something tons...
  10. Recommended by the royal horticultural society for whatever that's worth. I've grown a fair few er.. plants with the stuff and some side by side comparisons. Shit works, with plants.
  11. Nothing is ever bloody simple. So anyway, legality notwithstanding, I could fit an adjustable bracket to raise the trailer, possibly in a safe manner. Only problem being, I then cannot open the fucking rear doors. God dammit all to hell..
  12. Wow that's amazing. You have to give them credit for that.
  13. I completely disagree. 50mm is the perfect size for close board fencing. Why would you want any shorter? I hated my im350I. No amount of care and servicing made it reliable but my battery dewalt is superb IME. 2nd finish is excellent too for palisade and putting trench capping on closeboard. Doesn't get as much use as the first finish so can't attest for reliability yet but so far so good. How cheap do you want the nails to be? I pay around 20 quick for 1000's of them. Screw carrying a compressor around all manner of shyte putting fences up. Not for me.. And this will offend.. excuse me sincerely, but if you can't hold a dewalt nail gun and fire off a few thousand nails at shoulders reach then you might not be fit for the work. Got degenerative shoulder joint syndrome from breaking concrete for years and I can with ease and I'm no hulk.
  14. Hmmm, further consideration. Taking it to a tow specialist. Need electrics looked at anyway.
  15. Interesting! It arrives on Saturday. So putting the plate upside down changes from tension to compression. And shear of course. Distance from pivot point would be identical no matter which way round it was. Hmmm I'm guessing this thing is about 10mm thick. Probably tested taking 30 tons day in day out. I'll take a look at it when it arrives.
  16. lol
  17. Nice. Exactly what I need. Probably cheap too. Thanks a bunch ?
  18. Hi guys, basically my tow bar on my van was fitted too low. I was thinking of seeing if I can get a longer tow ball to compensate for this. Problem being that it's a 3.5 ton trailer and I'm not sure if this is a wise move or if even tow balls are specced for such a heavy load but higher/ longer. I figured another 2 inches would do it. The problem I'm having is re attaching trailer when it's got weight in it sometimes if not balanced I have to jack the van up to marry the two up. Also on a sharp bump I'll scrape the bottom of the front end of the trailer on the ground. Any advice appreciated. Ta
  19. Ah. Yeah never applied for more than 12k so maybe that's why.
  20. Not fucked enough...
  21. Tell her to get fucked! What a fucking joke.
  22. I've never once had to show ANY accounts for a piece of finance.
  23. They'll check your business credit rating and run a search for any unpaid debts. If you've got none and you're solvent, on the electoral roll, you'll get it. The deposit and the machine itself are collateral.
  24. Just to clarify guys I'm only good for a day or 2 per week at beginning or end of the week so as not to interfere with my own workload. I'm not really doing this for the money but I can't afford to do too much of it if you know what I mean. Also trailer would be extra of course. Have a jo beau m500 self driven chipper with new blades that'll comfortably handle 4 inches. If either are handy we'll discuss a fair deal. Ta
