  1. Obviously the kanga is narrow and a small lift capacity. MultiOne 2.3 has much better lift (530kg) capacity compared to the 2 series avant (350kg)
  2. What about a Compact loader?
  3. Twin wheel rear. All depends what on how you drove it and the tyres. I had general euro van winter tyres all round. My yard and chip site was very muddy and slipery but never really an issue. I drove it across boggy fields as well. it was best with a load on. Mine was pretty cosy as my main guy was 6ft 8. He also sold his single wheel Isuzu to get a cabstar like mine.
  4. When I had my arb business I got rid of my transit in favour of a cabstar. I have to say for a 3.5t truck it was fantastic I put some heavy duty springs on it so it did not look over loaded. Would tow anything behind it with a full load on back. I think for 3.5t worth looking at them also the canter or Isuzu equivalents. You get a proper little lorry rather than a van.
  5. Where abouts in the country are you?
  6. Theres is a few different tyre options. Those fitted make it less than 1m wide(*without back weights fitted) I have low ground pressure ones fitted to mine. With back weights and tyres Makes it 1.1m wide.
  7. The 990 packs it in well plus all chip stayed on site.
  8. Been working the past week in Norfolk at my dads fishery with another fellow MultiOne user Nick Bobby tree services. All work was done with my 5.3. Lifting and dragging timber/ brash from water to land. This loader speed up the job so much. A lot of credit goes to Nick and his kit and also his team we really got a lot done. It was nice to get back to some tree work, Roll on next year.
  9. Sold build and a saw that won t let you down. But do see if you can stretch to the 620. Parts are not as easy to get but you ll have a more reliable and better build saw from the other major brands plus no silly computers.
  10. And with a better load centre you will potentially lift more
  11. 180kgs only 37kgs more than pallet fork and clamp.
  12. You can always get the hd grab from MultiOne uk like on my own machine it’s so much better.
  13. What about a compact loader. Also not trying to be funny but a ibc of logs surely does not weigh 1000kg.
  14. Jim glad your happy. The 5.3 surprises loads of people it’s now one of the best sellers.
  15. They basically do the same thing but why I choose MultiOne vrs avant was down to cost, size, lift, service from importer and dealers. Since buying mine I now sell them so I am afraid I am very biased now but I took 6 months of research and thinking before I bought one for my business. It’s abit like stihl vrs husky or Timberwolf vrs greenmech but I don t want to start that up again. It’s your choice but I would say go Blue.
  16. MultiOne you get a 3 year warranty vrs 2 year with Avant.
  17. Have a look at the 4-5 series MultiOne specs for the money nothing comes close to lift capacity v size and weight. There getting very popular with fellow arborists( one guy recently just bought one with no demo just what he heard and read about them here). and for it’s spec is why I bought one before I started selling them. This was after months of research and demos from various manufacturers.
  18. Of course they save time if you can get to the site they can do the job of several men. They don t get tired or sick. Even the smallest ones suprise people of their capabilities. I wish I bought one when I had my tree company I probably would not have the spinal issues I do have now.
  19. Busy week this week delivering machines, hires and more demos. Here’s my 5.3 lifting 600kg on full reach today.
  20. Before spending out so much try getting the different options on hire first. Will give you a better idea of practicality’s for every day use. I do have to disagree with the comments of a MultiOne/avant not being good off road. There’s not many terrians you can t go with them. And if need be use the boom. I find when doing demos for people they feel the need to put their foot down on pedal thus spinning the wheels when you really don t need too. With some practice you can go pretty much anywhere. My 5.3 MultiOne has the dynamic block system which is like a diff lock when used. This can also aid pushing force. I ve used mine pushing in piles of crushed concrete with out any issues. Like any machine practice makes makes perfect and sometimes in a demo you don t get a chance to get a good feel of the machine.
  21. Yorkshire Compact Loaders is offering loader hire with or without operator. We have a few attachments available including heavy duty log grab. We have the MultiOne 5.3 with a tipping load of over 1.1t and a width of 1.1m is small but extremely productive. Get in in touch for rates, drop off and collection available. Find us on Facebook or look on the website.
  22. I ll agree to that. Lots of dreamers. Once on demo I totally forgot about hi flo also. That day could have ended up better.
