  1. Yiu should be able to cut that with less than a tank full mate. [emoji106]
  2. If you’re cutting slabs using a full tank at a time, (12’x 4’). The value of the petrol is about 1-2% of the price of the slab. 2 full tanks to cut a slab would pay for half the saw at least when dry. Or your chain is blunt.[emoji848] [emoji106]
  3. Absolutely mate, I have a very good relationship with both my stihl dealers. It’s imperative [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  4. Yeah, all mine????[emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  5. Huddersfield saw and tool company, Bloody fantastic service by guys who know their stuff![emoji106][emoji106][emoji106] (Got new fuel filters on all my engines today) ??? [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  6. Looks like it’s been hit by a vehicle.
  7. I’ve bought both now, Got a cheap 4x4 for off road and towing plant trailer, Still mainly in the transit though. It would help if my guys would drive...??‍♂️?[emoji106]
  8. It’s going to@wonky to tinker with. [emoji106]
  9. Yes. But it has been off road once or twice. Quite good over ploughed fields with a full chip box. Wouldn’t recommend pulling over on a grass verge if it’s been raining though. ???[emoji106]
  10. Ooh nasty. In my case it was entirely my own lack of maintenance which killed it. Doh. Expensive lesson. ???[emoji106]
  11. The stihl mechanic couldn’t understand why an “obviously well looked after saw, which only runs on motomix would pop?” That was the first phone call. By the fourth call he’d found the issue. (And the pot and piston). Yeah I clean the side cover a lot and the air filter, inside the area about the switches. I find the fan and fins never get messy? I’ve got a whole box of various greasy paint brushes and chopsticks for really tough stuff. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  12. I always peak in the fuel tank when refuelling. The filter was blocked with fines. Couldn’t see it. I’ll just clean them all every few months now. ??‍♂️??‍♂️??‍♂️??‍♂️??‍♂️?[emoji106]
  13. Hey bud, I’m in Halifax West Yorkshire. Got lots of yew and a bit of laburnum. Loads of oak, can get lime and I’ve got birch logs. 07376803384 Saul [emoji106]
  14. Just got another call from my local stihl dealer (Huddersfield saw and tool shop). He’s just found a pot and piston on the shelf! Should be ready by tomorrow morning!!!! Service!!!! [emoji16][emoji16][emoji16][emoji16][emoji16][emoji16][emoji16][emoji16][emoji106]
  15. Problem was the fuel filter was completely blocked. User error...[emoji848] Clean your fuel filters regularly millers!!!!!!!!!! ?[emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]
  16. And it won’t arrive until 3rd of November.... ???
  17. Took it to my local stihl dealer. He sent me that last photo. See what else is buggered. [emoji106]
  18. Today’s milling. Started so well. 6’x4’ English walnut Big 80” panther mill,880 etc. Even put a new hyper skip chain on. First cut was perfect. Then it went wrong....... The 880 cut out, wouldn’t restart. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!!!!!!!! Nooooooooooo!!!!!! [emoji22][emoji22][emoji22][emoji22][emoji22][emoji22]
  19. Everything except off-roading. Logs, chip, trunks, slabs, big mills and I can get three of us in the front and all the saws and gear in the crew cab bit. [emoji106]
  20. Try proper scotch bonnet sauce. Tobasco is ketchup by comparison. [emoji106]
