  1. Not seen Herder machines before! Is there a UK distributer? SG
  2. What machine is that? Looks comfortable! SG
  3. Just posted it! SG
  4. A local saw docter told me to only use Husky oil in Husky saws as they run hotter and faster and other oils are not designed to cope. I reckon he could be right as I've a friend that has got through two engines in two years on a new Husky 550 using Stihl oil. SG
  5. I've got a rather grubby one complete with pawls. Yours for a sensible offer. SG
  6. If they can't cut it or grind it, they simply freeze spray it until brittle and shatter it with a quick blow from a hammer! Good insurance and whatever security appeases the policy is about the best you can do these days sadly. SG
  7. I've seen a smaller version for a mini digger - it's basically a big Auger drill! Very expensive though and with very limited use. More suited to forestry clearance. SG
  8. Christ Stefan, you need to get a smaller machine for jobs like that! I'd have been up there and smashed them out with the Alpine Magnum in about 10 minutes without having to destroy the garden wall. Bigger isn't always better! SG
  9. Anyone that see's me working in full PPE with guards and screens in place that thinks it is somehow safe to wander up and take a look over or around them to see how the machine works whilst not even wearing as much as a set of safety glasses!!!! SG
  10. Not so much guys, but customers that miraculously appear just as you're finishing off and ask " Oh, whilst you're here could you just do loads of extra work that I didn't mention when you first quoted, and of course I'll not be paying you any more for it", or words to that effect! SG
  11. Very good! SG
  12. I always carry a 4 pint empty milk container which can be used discretely in the back of the double cab! Perfect for a sneaky piss! SG:thumbup1:
  13. People pissing (or worse!) in customers gardens. Not a good impression to make if you get caught! SG
  14. Wow! That's amazing work!!!!!!!!!!!! SG
  15. You need to get a diamond faced disc for your angry grinder or a green silicone carbide wheel on a bench grinder and you can do them easily yourself. SG
  16. I find this site useful for a 'map to ground' comparison. It is a great tool for safety surveys to locate footpaths etc for new ground that I take on for deer management. However, you can also zoom right in on the satellite image to identify individual trees even. You can then do a screen shot and print it off, or crop it into 'paint'. Not sure of the legalities of passing it on but it isn't really identifiable! Worth a look anyway... https://wtp2.appspot.com/wheresthepath.htm SG
  17. My old 1625 had a Kohler Command Pro 27 hp fitted which gave it a bit more grunt and seemed to fit perfectly. SG
  18. You say that, but you are using mesh screens? They may well stop small stones and wood chip, but what about when you throw a tooth or fire a large piece of flint? Mesh netting also gets chip stuck in it. My thick reinforced rubber tarp screens are a fraction of the cost and do not get chip stuck in them. They will also stop or greatly reduce the effect of any projectile more than any mesh net could. I would suggest you are paying a lot more money for an inferior product? SG
  19. Have you seen the ad then? Can you shed any more light on what it actually is? SG
  20. Where? I'm not on facebook and all I've seen is what I was sent above?
  21. WTF is this? This is currently on facebook and would certainly look the part to the unsuspecting. Buyers beware!? SG
  22. I've seen beach windbreaks used but you need to consider your image too!
  23. I use the folding BT barriers with rubberised tarp tywrapped to them. Very light but sturdy and look the part. Easy to carry store and very easy to move during work. If it is windy I simply pin them with the orange net barrier pins. Have a look at my gallery photos on my website below and you'll see them. I got them off eBay for about £12 a set of 4! SG
