Nah, nothing. But like someone’s already mentioned I’ll be getting a fuel card asap. My brothers just got one and saves at least 10p a litre.

I think you have to hunt around for ex-display models. A mate just bought one for one of his tenants. I opted for a used Brosely Evolution 26kw Boiler Stove. My living room Stove has an option to instal a rear boiler. If the company stop selling them I’m sure it’s not that hard to have one fabricated.

Whilst I bow to your greater knowledge surely any wood thats old/seasoned will bend with the correct amount of steaming? Might take longer but I cant visualize whats happened to the timbers structure that wont allow the steam to bust out its cells to allow it to bend, Unless the fact its so dry the cells of the timber can no longer "bust" out?

Every cut above, below and including the center cut of a log thats cut through and through is quarter sawn anyway, just keep these back if thats what you are after
