  1. Loving the Crane! How much can that lift?
  2. Damn. How much did you pay? Id check its not hot as well, was a thread on here a while back on sellers on ebay flogging knicked Saws etc. Later when someone linked the guys page all items where removed. Ah, seems Im late to the party.
  3. Great idea! I'll have to get one of them. Cheers.
  4. Had a really good day at it, my dilemma is how to get it out without having to shorten it, more so with the bigger stuff tomorrow It sure is fun peeling the slabs of layer by layer and revealing the beautiful grain. Due to dimensions or weight?
  5. Thats a super clean lump of Oak. Glad it went well and you went for it.
  6. Very nice. Handy having all the big toys to move stuff around. How are you liking the first cut system?
  7. Ive been using a Duromatic 48" Bar for Milling for over 2 years now and Milled maybe 20 logs with it. Not had an issue, I keep the nose oiled though. I use a Lo-Pro Bar with my 36" Mill.
  8. Nah, sorry, was in the for sale section a while back. Think it had a few extra's thrown in? Maybe sold now.
  9. Someone was selling one, almost brand new on here for a Bag of Sand. Maybe worth looking?
  10. I use an 088 for my 48" Mill, no issues at all. I think plenty people use the 880 for bars up to 84". Im not sure what the specs on a modern 880 verses an older 090 are anyway? Maybe the 880 has more grunt?
  11. Agreed, no way would I have paid the £700 let alone more.
  12. I think with all the hassle and poor workmanship Id just tell him to beat it. I think he knows he's a chancer.
  13. Mad, huh? I know a couple of Tree Surgeons that Ive already had some logs for Milling, for Firewood prices. Was more of a investigatory project than anything. I'd make more money off-shore in overtime that Id make Milling the Oak. But would have been a fun project and if it had worked out cheaper for my mate then all the better. Id have kept all the center 1/4 sawn sections for myself anyway.
  14. Thanks Edward. Yes, thats a good point. I know the hoppus foot accounts for wastage but Im not sure if it accounts for kerf as well? I'll need to check.
  15. That depends, if its worth £1.5 in two years he's laughing.
  16. Stupid Question time. Can you buy seeds? Just wondered if its feasible to wander around the site sowing in the same way a Farmer would have done a few hundred years ago?
  17. Well obviously, they'd be far to small to see over the steering wheel......
  18. I dont see the relevance? I dont agree with abortion and in my mind its murder. Its as simple as that. Nothing to do with a god, nothing to do with souls. Its not an opinion held by many and thats fine, I dont ram it down other peoples throats.
  19. Its just my opinion, its worthless. Dont worry about it. Ok. Not what Im discussing in the slightest but again, OK. If that child was murdered for that heart then yes.
  20. Yes I know. It still does not sit well with me at all. Yet I have the vaccines it has produced, albeit unknowingly. Would I take them now had I not had them? I guess I would, so I could work in the field in which I do as its a requirement. But I dont feel people should be forced to have them if it going against their beliefs and moral compass. I dont have to see them for just being cells, that is a personal view point and one I dont particularly share. That last comment was retarded, Ill not even go into that.
  21. Well I cant argue there. But when the precedent is set, and the public happily go along with it going further is so much easier. As I said my kids are vaccinated. Im not anti-vaxx. Im vaccinated to the bloody hilt. My Medical Booklet for working over-sea's in such places as West Africa is full to the brim. I have no issue with unvaccinated kids. Because if they are carriers my kids will be fine, because they are vaccinated. But I do feel it should be a choice what we inject into our bodies. And if its the case that aborted human fetuses are included in some injections I sure as hell would not be comfortable taking them and feel it should not be forced.
  22. When we have a loss of control of what the government can do to our bodies or be forced out of society I feel that has very heavy implications.
  23. Id have to look it up and to be honest what difference does it matter? My point being we heading in a direction where we no longer have controls of our own bodies. We're heading further down a road where we have to take mandated government authorized injections and the implications there are very worrisome. Where will it end? All my kids have the MMR jags, thats not an issue for me. Its the bigger picture and I fear many either dont care of are incapable of seeing where this leads.
