  1. You just sold one and have not bought another the exact same? Must have been a good deal.
  2. Is he on about your mill or something? Or his is already sold?
  3. Still, would be good to get some actual figures. Whilst I agree it will be much better built I wonder what Kw is actually required as 27 could well be in excess where as a smaller unit might be better suited, but would of course have a significantly smaller engine too. Just curious and would be good to see.
  4. 5.5 liter engine running all day long? Wonder what that drinks? You never mentioned the cost of this beast but couple that with the extra fuel it will require over a smaller modern diesel I wonder how quickly a modern transformer would pay for itself just in fuel saved?
  5. Not a clue. But if Im gonna plant tatties at home I always go for the more fancy ones you'd not find in the Stores. Like Strawberry Paw, Magic Molly, Adirondack Blue etc. Just to make it a bit more fun for the kiddies.
  6. Its great on buttered toast. As it is on Cashews and twiglets. Vitamin D is also very important, I aim to make sure she gets plenty of that when Im home.
  7. The compulsory past seems to be getting more and more relaxed these days. Women are given the option to join, but its not compulsory. If you dont wanna join you tick that box and they tend to not bother wasting their time with you. If you come up with a half arsed excuse they tend to not bother wasting their time with you. But I do believe it should be introduced here. Young folk over there are so much more respectful and come away after two years all the better for it. Norway does have a high gun ownership. Sports Stores like XXL have a wall full of them. Hunting is much more a part of their culture than here in the UK. I agree, its the american Mindset that needs fixing, not the gun ownership laws. Same as in Canada, very high gun ownership among citizens, fairly low gun crime.
  8. I like marmite, I like potatoes. I may give it a go one day.
  9. Makes sense I guess? But honestly the missus eats raw potatoes. Its bloody weird. Not often but will happily munch on a raw potato if she thinks no ones looking. Not even a pregnancy craving either, did it since she was a a kid. But she's Engish so what can I say? ?
  10. All land is stolen, but yes, we have a crappy way of 'owning' land here in the UK.
  11. You have a few bonkers idea's yourself.
  12. Now that sounds like my kinda road trip!
  13. Where are you based and any more info/price? Theres a lad up my way looking for a Mill.
  14. What about roughly quarter sawing the Butt? Maybe more hassle than its worth right enough?
  15. Thats very good of them. We got 50kg delivered for £10. Wife and kids are gonna be sick of the sight of them soon.
  16. Is it that old? Started at about £1800 and slowly came down to £1200. Will come down yet. Which is weird as a mate of mine sold the same 24" version, dont know if it was newer, looked the same. For £3000 last year.
  17. I sure did! Then quickly averted my eyes so I did not get Planer envy. There was a nut and bolt restored Dominion 24" Planer round my way recently. One of the Elliot with the Table Saw and Cross Cut. £1200, seemed a bargain to me, looked brand new. I just dont have the space, money or 3ph to run it. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/744753129366434/
  18. Here's a pic of a post from a Heliport Check-in at Aberdeen. Its bonkers. Im outta quarantine and waiting to go off-shore now. So a new hotel. Thats full of UK workers in quarantine. And some like me that are not. All the UK twats are having a laugh in the reception lounge, as close as the picture below. Twats.
  19. Yip, praying on the desperate. Id pay £30 a pop if they where real. Would be a huge weight iff my mind if I knew the wife and kids had already had it and where now immune.
  20. Thats gotta be a typo right? 73 maybe?
  21. Yeh, Id put a prick of blood on it for a giggle. Would trust is not at all though. Id also be seeking my money back through paypal. Should be easy enough.
