  1. Morning all, lazy day today which is a good thing with storm Bert currently thrashing rain against the window. Apparently the Mrs says I’m putting the Christmas trees up after venturing in the loft to get them 🤣. So might not be a lazy day after all. Anyway, have a great weekend everyone whatever you’re up to 👌🏻.
  2. Just listed on Arbtrader if anyone is looking for a Mini loader?.
  3. Time Left: 25 days and 19 hours

    • FOR SALE
    • USED

Selling a Sherpa Agri 100 mini loader purchased new in July 2020, not seen much work as you can see from the condition. You won’t find a better used one. Complete with log grab, 85cm bucket, narrow Agri wheels/tyres and a set of wide turf wheels/tyres. Just not used enough to justify keeping it, used once this year. Everything works as it should with no issues or problems. The odd little scuff here and there but nothing major. Great little machine in the right environment and saves a lot of work. No time wasters or tyre kickers, NO Vat. Buyer must collect. Funds to be cleared before machine is released.

  4. You could subby a climber in 1 or 2 days a week, but then you’ve got the problem of being let down or not getting on etc, that’s if you’re used to your own company. I’d say that’s the easiest way to carry on with the potential of getting a full time climber, but would you be the groundy? Not really taking it easier on the ground humping and dragging all day. other than that, depends on your skills/past experiences and what business you could set up and invest in, which would obviously take time to set up and get clients. Would something like a tracked mewp make life easier that you could also hire out locally with you as the operator?. Not going to generate a fortune but would help with your fatigue.
  5. Mileage so far is 1535, it’s oil life that’s 26103. I’ll speak to dealership today see what I can sort out for the future.
  6. Hi all, do most people change their van oil annually or at 6 months? Purchased a new Iveco and first service is 3 years or 30k. Surely the oil need’s changing before this, but would this void any warranty if I do it myself sooner. this pinged on the dash yesterday.
  7. Imagine forgetting the biscuits 🙈
  8. That’s a shitty thing to do, I’d be fuming. I’d plant a row of pleached trees along that boundary now just so the leaves blow into their garden. All the Acer leaves would also be blown into the garden over the next 12 months, by the wind obviously 🙄
  9. We have the Stihl battery trimmers, hla 56 and 3 of the hla 86, they are superb in my opinion, AP300 battery lasts most of the day and up to now not had any technical problems with them in nearly 2 years (the Husky ones we had were an absolute nightmare for breaking) the hla 86 can cut up to 26mm thickness and are telescopic. Very rare we use petrol trimmers now. Just keep the gearing lubed as they seem to dry up pretty quickly, we use spray on lithium grease weekly for that and wd40 on the blades regularly throughout the day.
  10. What’s a payload? 😂
  11. Yes they’re expensive, but factor in all the extras you don’t get with the grafter, all electrics, air con, diff lock, tow bar, all around led beacons and there wouldn’t be much in it, and you can get 3 people in with space and comfort. Had ours off road and over fields with no slipping whatsoever. More surprisingly it’s got us more work due to raising our business profile. I certainly don’t regret buying ours.
  12. Morning all, sunny but very blustery in Bolton. Won’t be much cleaning up to do today hopefully 😂🍃🍃, hedge trimming and quotations on the cards. I’m certainly ready for the weekend though 😅
  13. Hi, anyone know if these would work on a genny for scanning for media/BT cables, if I clipped it around the cable where it comes up from the ground into the house?. Or is there a simpler or easier solution?.
  14. Hi, anyone know the size of the Dowty washers that fit on the bolt that connects the hoses to the drive motor on an FSI B22?
  15. You thought about the Iveco Arb truck? Slightly more expensive but comes with all the extras as standard. We looked at the Grafter but there just wasn’t enough room or in cab storage for us. theres a video demo on FB, here’s the link Facebook M.FACEBOOK.COM
  16. Any update on what van you preferred/chose? We picked up our new Iveco Arb tipper on Tuesday, feels like a proper truck and has all the little extras on like air con, diff lock and loads of useful storage. I’ll keep you updated on how it goes after a month or so of putting it through its paces 👌🏻
  17. Unfortunately I’m off to the lakes today until Sunday
  18. Morning all, off to Ambleside for a long weekend. Sunny but very breezy up in Bolton. Have a great day 👌🏻. still awaiting my pushy stick @PeteB 😂😂
  19. Turn up at dealership, drink coffee, drive home. Paid skiving at work 😂😂
  20. https://fb.watch/sWO6s3VKbJ/? Worth a look at the Iveco Arb tipper (video in the link), the Grafter was way too compact for us with little in cab storage, and very basic interior. I know most arb firms have them but it wasn’t for us. The Iveco felt much more truck built rather than an American fridge freezer 😂.
  21. Prices are crazy at the moment, we were in Ambleside over the weekend, I know it’s a tourist place so prices are generally higher, but over £6 for a pint, £4-5 for a coffee and average £15 for burger and chips, before you know it it’s nearing £50 for a couple to have (what used to be) a cheap lunch out. Throw a couple of kids in the mix and that’s £100 gone in less than an hour.

    CCTV

BNC, cheers for the info. It’s more for the perimeter detection alarms I need. But mine says “cctv exceeded device max analysis channel threshold”

Evening, any CCTV buffs on here? I’m running 5 Hikvision ColorVU 5mp cameras, and trying to set perimeter alerts on 2 of these, but apparently my dvr isn’t fast/capable enough (when I google the error message). Anyone recommend a Hikvision dvr that’s suitable? Don’t want to just guess at one and end up in the same situation. Thanks 👌🏻
  24. Morning all, grey and drizzly in the North West. Given myself the day off and I’m already bored, trip to the butchers to get some goodies, and measure up for a self build roof rack on the d-max canopy. Have a great day all 👍
  25. As the title, anyone running one of the newer ones? If so any feedback. Currently torn between this and the grafter, Iveco swings it with all the extras and the bigger cab but you don’t see many around compared to the grafter. Are they bomb proof or a bag of spanner’s? Looking for long term reliability.
