Morning Mull, Hows the head?. No not pissed off why would I be ?? I’m married to a jock bird and know she can occasionally talk shite when drunk ( mind you not with the regularity you achieve on fri/sat nights ) Yeah as you seem to want to keep mentioning it is indeed a wood forum but as is the norm there are parts of it utilised to discuss other subjects ie Covid in this case. Anyway I’ve a load of milling to be getting on with today so I’ll leave you to it.

Totally agree. People have given it their best shot I’d say but right now the lockdown is mainly in the minds of the politicians enforcing it. Sadly it’s children’s schooling that is the biggest unnecessary casualty right now.

Agreed 100% out of the 48 of us caught up in this mess with the agency concerned most have now either cut back how much they work or jacked in the whole type of work we do and will probs never earn what they did. I’d imagine eif you took a before and after 5 yrs down the line the actual tax take will assuredly be way less as a result of what has happened. I know myself my attitude will never be the same towards the whole taxation system and amount of sacrifices I’m prepared to make working away from home. Putting it mildly cash is ****************ing king.

Ref the contracts in England mate if they have been doing wrong then let them swing for it. Just been cleaned out to cover 19-20 self assessment and still in the middle of an IR 35 ass whipping so to say I’m pretty disillusioned with the way this countries economy is being decimated and tax payers money squandered is an understatement.

If you lived up here with and see how they run things and a tax regime more severe than even the likes of Norway you’d understand why as a self employed unionist I can’t stand them.

Yeah still ongoing, infuriating that the individuals whom put us in the situation we are in manage to walk away without a care in the world. 2 years now, had a total tits full of waking up and going to sleep every day with it hanging over me, on the 3rd different inspector now 🤷♂️.

The biggest disconnect by far is the gap between what the HMRC either want or think is going on and what the employer is capable of or prepared to give. Stuck right in the middle is joe blogs trying to make a living, whom inevitably ends up getting stuffed for more tax,

That’s it for me I’m afraid, debate over the minute you asked “what would you do instead “ that tactic has been absolutely done to death on here, myself and others have given an answer on multiple occasions but it’s never been enough for some. I think most will have made their minds up by this stage don’t you.

You can read into it what you want, that seems to be a common trait with lockdown/restriction advocates. If it is primarily there to stop health systems being overwhelmed how can anything but 100% take up of the vaccine by health care professionals be deemed as acceptable. As for sympathy excuse me but spare me that line ok.

No I won’t explain anything at all. You know very well what I mean about statistics in regards covid. The part regarding conspiracy is just rubbish quite frankly. No one mentioned conspiracy, I’ve never denied covids existence. Shame that you felt the need to drag things back to that bullshit level. Take a look at the latest ONS figures and that will give you all the statistics you need.

They are though! The news referred to HCWs. The Leicester poll quoted 70% of doctors taking the jab. I will bet you twenty quid 99% of the 30% defaults are because of apathy. 3 of my ex uni mates are GPs. Every dr in each of their practices have had the jab To be honest I care very little if they do or don’t. But how can you be apathetic to something that is being used as an excuse to lockdown an entire country ?? due to its aforementioned characteristics or maybe is it in reality they know the stats for its effects on healthy individuals.

Nope I guess it isn’t although I’m struggling to get the point you are pushing. but seeing as the country is locked down to protect us and as is quoted often the NHS from this virus and it’s supposed transmissibility and lethality it does seem to be a bit strange that highly educated doctors regardless of their religion are not rushing to take up the offer of a vaccination.
