School pupils who test positive must isolate even if they test negative later on APPLE.NEWS Secondary school pupils will start taking rapid 'lateral flow' coronavirus tests from today. If... Pure and utter stupidity. If it’s proven to be a false positive why on earth would a whole household still be expected to isolate for 10 days. Not hard to see why people are pretty much paying lip service to guidance when there is zero common sense or logic involved.

Too quick to flag up anything that’s not PC or ultra Woke as far right. You’d have thought someone would have pointed out how bloody stupid it reads right from the get go ie a far right proposal !!.

Not so nice on the eye and unfortunately had to be done with the 880 😖. Yet to mill the last bit of Elm but hoping for some decent boards out of it.

Hopefully shift some on, probs keep a couple ( Not that I ever get round to doing much with them) and a few will go to mates etc. Like I said it’s basically bought as firewood but the temptation to mill rather than just ring it up is there if the log looks half decent. Yeah the whole piece is usable,I’m sure others more clued up than me will know more of the actual characteristics of the different parts of the board, colour fades fast anyway literally in front of your eyes.

How’s progress with the mill ?? you keeping an eye on the guides ?? They have a tendency to move a bit I’ve noticed.

16” wheel size should offer good options just go for a taller profile Tyre. What you got on at the minute ?. Afraid you can’t have it all as standard ie bigger rims and chunkier tyres 🤷♂️🤷♂️. I run a 3.2 wild track and if the chance arises I’ll drop back to 17” probs off a limited model. I’d happily lose a bit of rim diameter for a taller profile off road tyre, I’ll wait till the factory fit tyres are done before I change anything.

Go on to one of the many tyre rim calculator sites and they will give you multiple different wheel/tyre combinations that will still keep you within the original specs. 18 inch is gonna end up needing lower profile tyres !!, is that the look what you are after ??.

No Les I was brought up with them always being around, Appleby was on the calendar every year. We used them for work on the beaches to recover coal so familiar with horses in harness as opposed to ridden. I saw then how much bloody hard work they were lol. Like I say my sister has never stopped with them, pony club to show jumping to horse driving trials. Mind you as I get older I can sort of see the attraction to having a good working pair in the woods on a cold spring morning, actually hold that thought cos that pair will need feeding and mucking out all winter too every single day 🙄.

My sisters preferred breed has been for many years Hackney/Welsh cob cross, all breeding stock was sourced from one farmer on the gower peninsula. Great mix of speed and stamina, she competed at international level in Horse driving trials so the guy obviously knew his horses.

Horses as a working animal can be a great thing Les, but it’s the 365 days a year morning noon and night commitment that’s the hard part. Be great if the demand was actually there to justify keeping a good working pair, maybe not as big as those percherons mind.

The oil tank is all his own work so no cost to him other than time and consumables. Material wise a lot of it is scrap or salvaged stuff from the oil and gas game. I’m sure if he thought he could get 200 a pop he’d knock a few up 👍

Tidy oil tank set up on a mates panther 60/881 mill. Very handy guy with the plasma and Tig.

Firewood rescue pile Andy 🤷♂️😃. Yeah ref the marks it’s all I’ve ever known with the mill so don’t really take much notice to tell truth.

That’s Beech I’m cutting right now. The lines are visible 🤷♂️🤷♂️ always have been from day one. I’d say just mill with it and then sort the imperfections out later once timber has dried if they are an issue. On a similar note that’s the worst bit of blade deflection I’ve had with this mill, Elm and a hard to soft patch, blade tension is spot on but it just went on a right wander 🤷♂️.
