  1. Morning all, Dry day here. Woodchip delivery, then oil/filter and blade change one of the chippers. Despite bing in cloud and drizzle yesterday it was short sleeves yesterday while ringing up the beech we felled earlier in the week. Have a good weekend.
  2. Morning all, Late start, drizzly day. Finished beech dismantle yesterday, going back to ring up larger timber for customer then clear up the debris.
  3. Morning all, Drizzly here, but in mewp not climbing at least.
  4. Morning all, Reasonable forecast here. Starting 2 day beech dismantle with mewp. Stay safe, have fun.
  5. Morning all, Late start today. Off to do a quote, then hospital appointment bang in middle of the day.
  6. Morning all, Pottering this morning. Taking the log splitter to help a friend split some rings his electric baby splitter can't manage. Gives the old series 3 Land Rover a run. Between the last two MOT's she did just under 100 miles. Needs using more! Have a good weekend.
  7. Morning all, Lazy day. Load up the mewp and take to site ready for next week. Bit of office work then hopefully set up new protos intercoms when they arrive. Have a good weekend all.
  8. Morning all, Another decent weather day. Last day (day 4) trimming tops of conifer hedge. Glad when it's finished, but at least it is very local, and decent customer. The weekend is getting near.
  9. Morning all, Nice sunny day ahead. Easy prune on a beech with power lines off, then more hedge trimming this afternoon. Have a good day.
  10. I have had a muck truck max for several years now. It doesn't see a lot of use as the tracked chipper when on site can move stuff in the hopper. I rate it highly. I have even used it with timber ballast in the skip and one or two men adding weight to pull quite a large willow trunk over in a tight spot where the tracked chipper would churn up the grass.
  11. Morning all, Another rain free day looming. What's not to like.
  12. Thanks for the reply. When you say solenoid I am guessing you mean at the hydraulic valve block? I am only aware of one electric box, that being the one on the side of the machine where you start the engine. I will take a look middle of the week when time permits. Thanks again.
  13. I have had a Jensen A540 TT from new. It had just under 700 hours on it and is 11 years old. When the bottom trip bar is activated it stops the rollers as it should. When I press the green roller control switch, on either side of the hopper, the rollers will not turn. I have to turn the engine/ignition off, then restart and all is well until the next time it is tripper. Both green roller direction switches work fine (replaced one a few weeks ago), as do the red stop switches. When the fault occurs there is nothing showing on the control panel to explain it, just the normal data. Any thoughts/advice?
  14. Morning all, Forecast good all week here. Local connie hedge reduction today. Not sure I love these dark mornings. Have a good week.
  15. Morning all, Another nice day looming. Light duties today helping one of my men with his own hedges. Have a good weekend all.
  16. I don't envy the Schliesing that meal.
  17. Morning all, Chucked it down last night, early bed with a good book to read. Fine day ahead today, nice easy second conifer takedown. Have a good day.
  18. Morning all, Rain forecast all day here, but good tomorrow. Conifer dismantling today and tomorrow. Guess we'll get wet today.
  19. Morning all, Dry and cloudy here. Privet hedge reduction needing mewp as ladder access too wobbly.
  20. Morning all, Dry here. Hedge reduction today, only 2 miles away.
  21. Morning all, Pottering for a bit this morning, then lazing about.
  22. Morning all, Lazy day today. First frost of the season now blue sky. Flu and covid vaccination then trying to find where the slight engine oil leak on one of the chippers is. Customers don't really feel that oil staining on their drive is the sort of free extra they want. Have a good weekend
  23. Morning all, Up early with the mewp to go and remove a Buddleia from a church tower before the street gets busy. Looking dry for the next couple of days, hopefully get some mowing done.
  24. Morning all, Looking a bit wet here to start with. Small local job on the ground then pottering.
