  1. Mine came with pits of plastic tubing, but that also falls off. I'd say grease them up then mould some epoxy putty around them to firm a perfectly fitting cap.
  2. I'm looking at buying a € 1,500 "GeoTech" half - ton mini dumper https://www.agrieuro.co.uk/geotech-tracked-power-barrow-geoporter-530e-extendable-skip-500-loading-capacity-p-7065.html from a crowd called AgriEuro in Italy. They deliver to Ireland for €20 (!) Just wondering if anyone has dealt with them before or has one of these petrol mini dumpers. There is another one on their site with a proper GX200 Honda motor for double the money. Any and all experiences and opinions will be welcome. Is the hydraulic tilt option really necessary? What are the vibration levels like at the handlebars of these things?
  3. That's been on my to-do list for a while. Does it work well? Funny talking about modifying things about an hour and a half ago I heated up the 4 tines of my hayfork and bent them right angles to make a claw grubber. Got to pull some crap out of a hedge tomorrow.
  4. A Tupperware box of "herbs"....was told by the owner to look out for it as she had stashed it a few years ago and forgotten exactly where.
  5. Yup tigerseal or any high quality elastic polymer, tec-7, MS11 etc.
  6. Been burning mostly spruce in my Jotul for 20 years. But I sweep the flu once a year, so...
  7. Lightweight mobile aluminium access tower on wheels. Very safe.
  8. Scratch my post! I can't find the vid I saw now, but that was freaky. Now I want a non slip rope too.
  9. There is a Teufelber her on, I forget the name. If you search for YouTube videos of kernmantle rope failure you'll see the sheath does not slide all the way down , it kind of bunches and as it does, friction builds and it self breaks. This a Is actually a good thing, as it kind of acts like a shock absorber. I wouldn't worry about it.
  10. it's €46,000 as far as I can make out.
  11. You could move toward mechanisation to eliminate some of the staff. Lose the dead wood and give machines to the remaining good staff to make them more efficient. Pedestrian tracked mini loader to replace, or at least double the efficiency of, one brash dragger, for instance.
  12. Can you afford to pack it up and do something else? No debts ect? If you can, just do it. Close one door another one opens.
  13. Could you drill out the timber left in the concrete balls and insert the new posts into the same holes? Maybe have to chamfer the foot of the new post with a consaw a bit to make it fit, and slip a bit of cement slurry in around it?
  14. Good question!
  15. There have been two cases of genuine spontaneous human combustion in Ireland - ruled as such by the state pathologist.
  16. Shoulda peed on it...
  17. I agree with you when you say us "destroying the planet is nature's way" I believe nature evolved us to do precisely what we do - she doesn't make mistakes. Our job as a species is to burn the carboniferous deposits and put the CO2 back into the atmosphere to restock it back to Jurassic levels, where nature wants it to be. CO2 is crucial to life on earth, the more there is, the more biomass there is.
  18. The problem with religions is they make God into a cartoon character, and deliver a kindergarten level of understanding of good and evil. Because, simply, bronze age barbarians of any race were unable to conceptualise anything more complex and involved. The occult sciences give a proper understanding of the nature of God etc, but are extremely difficult to understand. Modern man is far more intellectual than his ancestors, and understandably scoffs at the fairy tail, but has not yet developed the humility and wisdom to see the truths behind it. Some have an intuitive grasp of the truth and keep religion alive, but it's painful for them, both mentally and socially. The new age philosophies are various kinds of watered down "sanitised" versions of the real truth, and are dangerously misleading in their own way.
  19. If you're working 12 hour days, you might be suffering from burnout. How many hours of proper sleep do you get each night? Are you properly hydrated and nutrified? We all have different capacities for handling workload, my limit is about four hours a day, day in day out yearly average. If I push for more than this for too long I feel the same way you describe. Your capacity might be Eight hours or ten. Some people seem to have an unlimited capacity, but drop dead at fifty. I agree with whoever said avoid the pills. Small practical steps to address whatever the problem is works for me, but first I have to identify the problem, and councelling can help achieve that.
  20. I run Aspen before storage, but some say you shouldn't mix as the rubber components get used to petrol - I don't think anyone really knows for sure. My thinking is the rubber hoses and carb parts are better now with moderner materials and should be ok with it. Old evaporated petrol deposits, "varnish" gum up carbs and filters probably.
  21. Cheers!
  22. I'd appear to everyone in no uncertain terms and suggest they embrace traditional conservative values. No earthly punishment for non-compliance, but as for what happens after....just don't say I didn't warn you.
