  1. Well if I didn't, someone else would.
  2. Did you know, here in France you are deducted 47% of your income after tax as national insurance? But you still have to pay every time you see the doctor.
  3. That big thuja would make a better avatar Scott. Oh go on then! one more from me.
  4. I know Ian, he certainly is........ Listen, and understand. The mendiplogs is out there. It can't be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with (or understood) It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead (or give a free stand)
  5. Or a better idea, set the chipper on some sort of Aframe trailer behind a van fitted with a tipping body.......oh....hang on.
  6. Ha! That's a fun bit of engineering, like you say though, fairly useless.
  7. Don't get all narky, all I'm saying is that one wouldn't necessarily need someone of your undisputed genius to effect something as routine as this. Happy?
  8. I have had a client accept a job and starting date, the morning of the job we turned up, gates shut, could tell the client was in, no answer on the phone either. She must have just changed her mind. Luckily I had something nearby.
  9. Transit/iveco/master whatever, then buy a tirfor.
  10. I guess what I'm saying is I'd like the option to overload it, if I chose to.
  11. Yes of course, no one overloads their 3.5 tonner.
  12. Looks nice, I'd have gone a bit higher, with the toolbox and the relatively low roof that's going to cut down your volume a lot.
  13. I've noticed young hedgerow elm have that bizarre bark formation as well. In Sussex and London etc.
  14. From memory it was around €180 plus one hour labour (which I considered a bit steep) I was a bit concerned I was just chucking good money after bad but the minute I started using it again it was completely different. They wouldn't have done it for free so I paid.
  15. Fitted this kit, it's the upgrade for the poor performing early 201s (like reg ran over) plus drill a couple of holes in the exhaust. take the numbere to a stihl dealer and get him to order and fit. Not cheap though!
  16. I'm a bit prejudiced, a few years ago I had a 200t that did the same, I took it to two dealers who charged me €180 each to no effect, they couldn't identify the problem and still took my money. So I had spent 2/3 of the price of a new 201, and still had a duff 'un.
  17. Cheers Joe, of course the other alternative (often if you're struggling with one groundy) Is to tell them to get out of the way, bomb a load out, then come down, slip off the harness and spikes, get stuck in, then go back up.
  18. Left the butt for a sawmill (unnecessary 088 in shot)
  19. Here's a similar oak I did earlier this year. Forgive the hero shot at the end! One at a time on the iPad for some reason.
  20. I like the sound of that! Don't forget the pics.
  21. Ha! I was just on that thread as well. Anyone should be allowed to run a business, if they go tits up its their loss.
