    Nick's

Clean woodchips appreciated, please telephone before dropping. 'S' bend at entrance will make dropping difficult for long vehicles. Sorry I don't know my HGV's particularly well, but a Class2 DAF 260 managed the bend yesterday, just. HTH. Cheers
  2. It depends on your use/usage. Check out Centauro/Felder/SCM/Wadkin for entry level industrial workshop applications
  3. Thanks for the heads-up, I'll warn others (
  4. Haha, no idea what's going to happen here, although it's cooling down swiftly and attempting to snow mate!
  5. Like Jon said, destined to be my wallpaper for a bit thanks
  6. That Archer sounds like a bit of an unbalanced whopper of the first order.
  7. Still shocked at the frequency that this is happening Have the police been useful? It seems like a suspected thief will get apprehended within a few minutes in a town centre for a trivial value, yet there's little to no protection in the rural areas where thousands of pounds worth of kit's being lifted...
  8. Fair point mate. Regarding the Greens, its an issue any party would find difficult to tackle, especially in the run-up to elections, at least imo. I just hope that they can sideline a few policies
  9. Haha, just checked it out thanks mate, only consolation is we've been there before I suppose. Hardly surprising with the abundance of short-term thinking/decision making
  10. I think the bloke was a Mormon iirc. He was the only lead I followed up, however there were a couple of others promoting the theory if that helps
  11. You're welcome mate, i'm glad I could contribute a bit of research. Not too sure about some of the claims though
  12. Hahaha, I checked it out last night thanks, don't be so down-hearted Small one: Update: The Biggest Out of Place Artifacts Ever? Immense, Stupendous Petrified Trees of the Black Hills, South Dakota The s8intcom Blogger
  13. Going to have to watch this now thanks! Thought Fogle seemed sound when he broke on the scene, although I watched his last series, which was quite interesting in parts, but he came over as a bit of a soft whopper really, especially as he describes himself as an 'adventurer' and has had almost twenty years experience. I'd probably rather be stuck on a 'desert-island' with a hungry lion
  14. Hahaha, all seems to be working okay, thank you, and the links you provided are very much appreciated. Hope I didn't come across as pushy, I was just keen to make sure I was capable of receiving a PM from Welshwoodsman when he's ready Cheers Nick
  15. Thank you TGB, that could be good, i'll email Rachel soon, should be a good route into hedgelaying Did you PM me btw, because nothing's showing up and I haven't heard back from Welshwoodsman yet, and as i'm fairly new to this forum i'd like to make sure I know how the PM system works ? Many thanks for your time
  16. Crikey, this website's great isn't it ? I'll PM you more details
  17. Thanks Felix. Never realised it was this bad, must be hard for some on the receiving end
  18. Does this happen every year lads? Frankly, i'm astonished at the frequency of theft being reported on here, it's shocking. Hope everyone stays safe and the Police catch the culprits.
  19. Morning guys. I'd like to get some experience of managing woodland, coppicing, and hedgelaying before we acquire a small-holding in a few years time, and i'm quite happy to help locally over the weekends please. I'm not sure whether this would suit you chaps or not, maybe you know an oldish owner around these parts who has a small neglected wood and would appreciate it and pass on some knowledge. Suggestions more than welcome, thanks for your time Nick
  20. I don't have a bandsaw yet mate, however i've heard a lot of good things about 'Tuff Saws' blades, worth giving them a 'phone. Sorry, i'm on my mobile otherwise i'd post a link up for you. They're based near Cardiff now iirc, used to be Raglan
