  1. Not in Scotland anyway at those prices
  2. What do they look at, your yard and how you process, or your paperwork?
  3. Nice looking 1680, is it yours?
  4. Been selling it to horsey folk for over 4 years now, no ill or dead horses to report
  5. Sharp chain, and its pretty much dust free. You on a 404 chain? Maybe the pretty ladies just like seeing me
  6. I sell mine for horse bedding. £20 a bulk bag. Flys out the door, rarely have any sitting for long. Dont mind delivering for a small fee. Pretty ladies in jodhpurs always put a smile on my face
  7. Why was it not a good idea to regularly chip dryish wood?
  8. Nah, A rest is an uninterrupted period where a driver may freely dispose of his time. Time spent working in other employment or under obligation or instruction, regardless of the occupation type, cannot be counted as rest, including work where you are self-employed.
  9. Out of interest, how do you load a 5 foot clog into the boiler? By hand?
  10. Aye, but that doesn't prove that you, the driver, hasn't been 'on duty' all weekend. If you've spent all weekend processing logs then that doesn't count as resting. Its all abit messy, or is it just me?
  11. Many drivers spend some of their time driving under both EU and GB rules. EU rules usually take precedence over GB rules. Important points to note: Time spent driving under EU rules cannot count as an off-duty period under GB rules Driving and other duty under GB domestic rules count as attendance at work under EU rules (and cannot be counted as a break or rest period) Driving under EU rules count towards the driving and duty limits under GB domestic rules So my take on that is, VOSA could technically do you for being over your hours, and not having/showing adequate rest periods
  12. Ok, see here is where iam lost. You pick up your trailer, put your card in, drive 10 miles and get pulled by VOSA They ask you to prove you have had adequate weekly rest, for that week, how do you do this?
  13. Oh yes. 1500 squids worth. Didnt opt for getting it factory fitted (wads cheaper), as iam a prick
  14. Do you still put your tacho card in, if its set to out of scope?
  15. I remember, or think i remember, reading that you have a Tacho fitted, but only use it occasionally, as you dont always tow a trailer? If iam correct, how do you record your weekly rest period? For example, if you dont take the trailer all week, but then take it on Friday, you put your Tacho card in, but how do you prove you have taken adequate weekly rest?
  16. Cut their fingers off. Bolt cutters
  17. You want to buy wood without looking at it? Brave move
  18. Your right, i was talking whizz. I get 80l/min (i read the book). Still a fair old flow, and still a slow crane.
  19. Definitely ask to see one working before you splash the cash.
  20. Top half or bottom half?
  21. What trailer?
  22. I'd say slower than Botex. Youtube them, they are real slow. I run it off a Fastrac with an oil Flow of 110 litres per minute, so plenty oil
