  1. They obviously pay what they have too or they would be in court. its no good blaming the company. the government needs to close the loopholes. I do think that amazon (as an example) would simply raise prices if they were made to pay more.
  2. Turnover is still meaningless. You don’t get taxed on turnover. they do however employ at lot of people who pay tax paye. moaning about them isn’t going to change it. I’ve no doubt you would use all the loopholes if you made enough to warrant the expense of the accountants finding them
  3. This is coming from the man who (I think) voted Lib Dem who wanted to unilaterally bin the result of the referendum thus sticking 2 fingers up at 17M people.
  4. I voted to leave the Eu no more no less the rest was just noise..... I don’t recall cobham being mentioned on the ballot paper or the utilities but maybe that’s me
  5. I get it your losing you comfort blanket. Invest in a new one?
  6. I think you need an EU anti radicalisation course. You’ve got Stockholm syndrome. The world won’t end on New Year’s Eve 2020!
  7. I don’t think you will get a majority of people in a country of any decent sized electorate to ever agree on one party? Too many opposing views. big j is all over the map. He’s wearing a yellow suit with blue shirt a red tie and green shoes( or some order of above colours) (said in jest?)
  8. Nothing would ever be agreed with pr. it would be like a permanent hung parliament!
  9. I think the SNP would do like Westminster if they got a second NO and bluster there way to another one in 5 years after they do well at the next election
  10. Fair point. It’s Kranky that is pushing the economic point of staying in the EU (that’s the main thing I have heard from her anyway might well be different up there) yet wanting out the UK who is a bigger trading partner. it wouldn’t bother me if Scotland went alone. I don’t see any reason not to from either side personally.
  11. The reason I asked re oil was that I don’t understand why trident blocks it? surely a nuclear sub can avoid oil rigs/pipelines? Stranger things have happened. Must be security?
  12. They are all fair points. It would be difficult moving it because of them too. unless there was somewhere even further out the way up north even further? mom the other hand north west England is in need of investment why not put it there (again no idea if it would even work) as for the oil does trident really ruin it or is it just much more difficult (so uneconomical) with it being there. Again no idea on that as all I know about oil and gas is it keep me warm keeps me from starving and gets me where I want to go!
  13. Is that why Mrs Kranky wants to scrap trident? I’d never for a minute thought of it like that! Interesting
  14. I personally don’t care either way if you are independent or not. Just musings about the Scotsmen I know who live here in Lincoln. They were posted here (at least most of them)in the RAF and stay living here for years and decades in some cases after leaving all the time moaning about how shit it is. please do leave and take Mrs Kranky and all the rest of the whiny SNP MPS in Westminster who hate England with you.
  15. Your like one of the angry Scotsmen who sit in the pubs here moaning about the English yet refusing to move back north!
  16. It’s good they give you somewhere like that. Is it normal to get day off when off shore? I’ve always imagined it would be work solid for 2,3 or even four weeks then get a few weeks off
  17. I’ve got sky basic package and sports. I like the sports channels and so do the boys. Got a decent deal £38 a month for full sports and basic pack. Have to threaten to leave every 6 months to keep sports cheap. dont watch it much should get rid really but like having sports there always someone to watch if I do put tv on. Not just whatever shite is actually on when I want to watch
  18. You obviously don’t cut and sell a great deal either since your not vat registered which tells its own story....
  19. It was me it took 2 mins on the search thing. He said my memory wasn’t working I knew it was. I was booking a doctors appointment if i didn’t find it!
  20. You can’t pull that out of context like that. You need my whole sentence! they are vital roles. big j the other day was saying that porters at hospitals were not that vital (not a quote as I can’t remember but along those lines) the doctors wouldn’t have patients in the right place without them. Does that mean they need a doctors salary.... CEO pay has always been ludicrous but that won’t change (much at least)
  21. I agree that’s how I read it. “A days work is a days work” my thoughts are everyone has a skill, something they are good at. They need to channel that skill into getting the best out of it. No one else can do that for them. the way it read to me is communistic which doesn’t work for obvious reasons just to add Saul is saying he goes out the £400 a day (some costs accepted) that’s decent money up there with doctors etc
  22. Are you really trying to equate a bin man and a doctors salary? I’m reasonably sure that no one dies if a bin isn’t emptied properly if the bin man had one to few the day before and forgets it. A brain surgeon on the other hand..... maybe you have an inferiority complex....
