1. Hi Jonathan, Yes just cut it up and put it in a cool place but I live in Buxton so its winter here.
2. Nice slab of oak from a really shitty looking butt. These slabs are 26 inch wide and 9 ft long,What would a reasonable price to ask for one ?
3. Thank you spud, saw chip, sorted and running seems so far to be OK not as warm on the hand.
4. The old engine had always run quite hot for my liking it eventually gave up two weeks ago. After three years of milling, its performance had gradually got poorer and poorer. So complete top end replacement fitted, head, piston exhaust. the new set up I can't start with the decompression valve in starts ok and runs lovely,But still gets to hot running full out. So had a look at the carb settings and found the L screw to be only a quarter of a turn open from new. Now I have reset it to 3/4 of Turn open. which going by my model engines would be more realistic ?
5. After running the 3120 today with new engine I found it to be running lean on top end. which carb scew needs to be opened up?
6.
Antarty give us a call Carl 07854568897

7. Maybe veg oil as a lubricant on the blade
8. 3120 in for repair after being used for milling hard for a couple of years.it needs spark plug insert that's almost sorted. The problem is the exhaust the old one is almost a jigsaw. It is non standard exhaust no long bolts just two short bolts. Bolting it straight on two cylinder. And no part numbers. Note, new part has 4 holes in,mine has 6
9. Fitted with a loading ramp, cage and cover.
10. Bought this 9 by 4 trailer in December and now post so others can view.very well build and design, thoroughly happy.
11. Where abouts are you in the will ?
12. Try a scrap yard you may be lucky and find what you need and the lads usually no what they are talking about and know the grade of the steels as they have to sort it and grade it.
13. It's a 15 inch piece of 1inch by 1inch angle.
14. I have a grate surport of a charnwood if that's any good ?
15. I had the same one last week.wanted a coffee table sent to Paris.
16. This may become a permanent fixture as I can adjust it when in the mill frame.and it don't cost £11.
17. First thing to look at is what is the largest trunk you would expect to mill.as something like the small log mill may suit your needs. My first mill was a 36inch mill with the husky 365.
18. It's done with a power carving disc, just started on the next table three bowls, different depths.Python.
19. Their is a large cast spike in the near end and a large union at the far end these are going to be cut of reducing in to around 16ft and making in more manageable for us.all of cuts to be reviewed later if we have time. Unfortunately Sunday it will have to be done.as it stands in the middle of a large field.
20. Yes have the standard uprights Alec.the plan is to cut it into 10 inch boards then mill into 10 inch beams.we have the use of a machine that will lift 3 tons but not all day.so crow bar and wedges.and the vertical mill.
