  1. Don't you just love them. We got a neighbour that doesn't mind tapping on the door. "Could I borrow this " or in the case of storm Doris I was out trying to secure their fencing and stop it from smashing the cars parked next to it. Refusing to take a penny for helping them out etc etc etc. Well I sat in the living room resting up my knee, watching 2 clueless tree butchers ( Bodget and Scarper) working on their poor trees PRICELESS
  2. Yep Mick I'm a right miserable old fart and for the life of me I can't figure out how to play me tapes in my truck
  3. Phil Collins Genesis white snake deff leopard AC/DC Heart foreigner Frankie goes to Hollywood etc etc etc
  4. Yep the 80's was a great music era. Sadly at the moment they talk not sing in that irritating drawl that gets right up my pip. I find myself shouting "shut the f*** up at the radio"
  5. Hi Mark some cases maybe. But as I had a day off today and watched the news. One example for today was the MP from Birmingham stating the terrorist was not part of the Muslim community and even though he he lived in the MP's area, Birmingham hasn't a problem. Soon after I had the Central news on. Yes he was a member of the Muslim community and of all terrorist related arrests half came from Birmingham. Sadly we are either being treated like mushrooms or the MPs believe we are of very low intelligence. It isn't helping the problem it's is helping to grow the ill feeling
  6. My sympathies to all those who have been affected by the atrocities in a London yesterday. I hope the relevent authorities are looking at the way they are providing information to us the public as the softly softly mushroom treatment isn't working. I have looked on Facebook several times since yesterday and the lynching parties are becoming more vocal.
  7. It's the first time that I look at the World Cup and feel that the northern Hemisphere sides aren't there to just make up the numbers. It's incredible that all the teams have taken an equal step forward
  8. Snap and snap. But it does a brilliant cut
  9. The 435 is a cracking saw. You don't need to go to the dealer to collect like Stihl. Or the other option is to give Shavey a call and go for a dolmar
  10. While it's treated as petty crime this is not he end result
  11. So good in fact that they could do it as a full time occupation
  12. Before I left working on the holiday park one of the customers was a retired road traffic officer. He now does some gardening at the Local HQ he was telling me how things have changed at the police. Everybody had to drive to work, highway cars were granadas or rovers. Squad cars were metros or basic escorts. The only posh car was to chauffeur the chief constable to official functions but he had to find his way to work and home. Nowadays all officers in managerial positions have a company car (mid sized BMW upwards) the chief has a bobby dazzler company car and a chauffeured car, highway cars wouldn't be out of place on top gear and squad cars ain't exactly slumming it. I wonder where the budget goes
  13. Oi you forgot your rescue climber
  14. My mate did and he had 7 years ! If I lose my £500 quid saw that's petty crime or a lock up full worth say £25000 is still petty crime then what is the amount you need to have nicked before it qualifies as real crime ? ( mind you nick a pack of fish fingers from Lidls and armed response will be there in 30 seconds) And as far as the police being stretched at the moment, then what is that is taking all their time? I'm not having a pop matey I'm just making an observation
  15. Well the excuse they gave the wife was she was not the victim and therefore they could not do anything until they spoke to the victim, new policy don't you know. So if that's correct that unless the victim and it can only be the victim can report a crime them don't worry about trying to hide a body because it can't report it to the Police so there's no crime apparently
  16. After some little **next Tuesday helped himself to my 550 and the police refusing to deal with my wife insisting that they had to speak to me before getting off their fat arses and doing something. I am wondering has anyone on here ever have had their stolen equipment returned to them ? I've got a feeling the police's success rate has got to be around 0%
  17. I just read snow storms about to hit the UK. Great with customers holding off ringing until their gardens are nice and dry that's the last thing I need. Then I read the report came from the Mirror. Phew what a relief, springs on its way then
  18. Unless you were already set up surely a simple prussic would speed up the rescue
  19. Perfect for the weekly shop to Waitrose
  20. Especially the newer ones. I can't wait to see what they do to modernise the 461. I knew I shouldn't have bought mine I should of waited for the 462
  21. Or the air filter cover of the 201tcm shattered because a knat farted half a mile away
  22. I just sold my push bike to a bloke from Stroud. He just left now and what an amazing man. Turns out he's a former TT racer. They were 5 friends from Stroud that were into road and off road racing. Three of them died at the TT and last last one who died was Bob Price in 2014 when he got the jump wrong and ploughed into the pub. He was supposed to been one of his bearers but had a big heart attack that morning. He's now 59 and has bought my bike to ride the TT course next year. His target time is under 2 hours and I get the feeling he'll do it. For such a quiet bloke he's definitely got some guts.
