  1. Forget trying to hold a rallye on bank holidays. If you can find a park that will let you bring 10 plus caravans in then they aren't very good and they are struggling for business. Normally I am booked up for bank holidays 3 months in advance and that's the norm for decent little sites. Also look around a bit more if you getting charged extra for awning, dogs etc, etc, etc. I charge £16 per caravan and that's it. All these extras on top just for a family outing is a bit naughty so look around
  2. Thanks so they definitely not a hobby saw. Do you know what the warrantee is like ?
  3. Phew I thought you were on about how much per night !!
  4. The echo 360 is starting to sound more interesting by the minute. A dealer that sells echo as well as the big 2 told me they are a hobby saw. I starting to get the idea he was spinning me a yarn
  5. £30 to £40 is that for the weekend or per night £
  6. And when you have found a caravan you can stay on my park. Oh and it's free fishing!! On a serious note buy a cheap and cheerful first as lots have bought the muts nuts and came to stay with us then realised they would prefer a static home here and then got stung trying to sell their tourer
  7. And thanks to you all for giving me your advice
  8. My local dealer stocks husky, stihl and echo. I think I better see what warranty they can offer and would they give me a saw on loan til they sorted out any problems.
  9. Thank you. If the main issue with the husky is breaking by being banged around then I can live with that. I won't be trying to work at the speed you lads have to work to so I can take a bit more care dropping it on the tool strop. I always have had husky and I would like to stay with the brand
  10. No I employed. I run a holiday park. The owners have got a load of trees to come down then in the close season I can do some freelance work
  11. Thanks for all your advice. I been having a go with the 200 and I have been looking on e bay but I once bought a husky 350 and what a pile of crap! So I learnt that if it's good you keep it and if it's clapped out then it's for sale. But the echo 360 is looking interesting as a new one is only a few quid more than second hand 200's on e bay
  12. Yep I just about to do my 39 course and I got a lot of climbing work for my boss this winter. They cost around 600 and I got to buy the saw myself and it's a minefield when you look at the reviews. And one says their saw is great and another says they are crap
  13. Apart from the stihl ms 200 which is no longer made what is a good saw? I read horror stories of the 540 and dealers who stock both husky and stihl telling me new new 201 had crap carbs to start then when they fixed that they are still gutless I am scared sh**less of spending £600 on a heap of you know what. Or is brand loyalty affecting people's opinion? Please help
  14. Husky 435 . For the price it takes some beating. Mine has had a hammering and it still works like a gem
  15. I looking to do my 39 soon and please let us know. I been reading the reviews on the big 2 and to say I confused.com is an understatement. I fancied the 540 but the reviews range from brilliant to needs a new bar chain and springy thing before even using it. Then I read the Stihl reviews which go from wonderfully to I quote " quicker to use my know". So please let us know if it's any good.
