  1. If you have done a Stihl with vertical split crankcase then you can do a Husqvarna, not much more to it, just follow my first post, there are some proper idiots on YouTube so do not be put off by them, if you get stuck just shout out.
  2. Does it purge normally when reconnected to the bulb? I am sure that is the check valve for the purge so should not be able to suck and blow through it.
  3. If I am not mistaken that is the check valve for the purge, have you removed a Welsh plug from the from over the high jet nozzle ?
  4. I would agree.
  5. I assume this is a mark 1. ?
  6. Seal fitting tools 17/21
  7. Very few special tools are required, once the cases are split ( without the case splitter, use a small blow torch to heat the cases to expand them away from the bearing ) the drive side bearing comes complete with its seal inserted, the flywheel side bearing has a separate seal, this bearing will require a seal sleeve to take it over the bearings inner race. re heat the cases to fit the beatings, just be careful to insert the bearings the right way round, once fitted press the crank into one side of the cases, fit the gasket and press the other side on, once the case bloats are tight tap the ends of the crank with a copper hammer to remove any tension, now fit the flywheel side crank seal using a seal sleeve, don at a fraction of the short block price.

    562XP cutting out

Hate to keep on about the orange frame air filter, it is 25 micron and even though it looks clean they do block very easily, when they become part blocked auto tune starts to lean off to compensate, this then causes it to run much hotter, as Spud said when they are plugged into cst you can see the fuel settings which gives a fair idea of what is going on.
  9. There is no non return valve as such in there, just a sintered vion block, once this becomes saturated in fuel/ oil it becomes a breather, a pipe is then connected to it and fed up through the carb floor and onto a small nipple next to the carb, if you force an excess pressure into the tank they will leak .
  10. And some fell on stoney ground!
  11. Just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse, the Royal variety performance, some cretin in a hi vis, and a bald headed bloke trying to be funny, time for bed.
  12. As I get older I am getting worse, but Steve, would you expect it to run a tank of fuel with no impulse, and run normally ? Off to bed soon bugger all on the telly.
  13. Damn strange it would run a tank of fuel no problem, no convinced.
  14. Interesting proposition, Aspen the wonder cure, no chance!
  15. Yep that's how they are, but take the bugger away and see what happens, you see a lot of it where people blast 120 psi through it and wonder why it doesn't run properly.
  16. If the check valve is not closing off then air from the Venturi will enter the main jet causing it to run lean.
  17. I would suspect the main jet check valve, H screw out, pipe over H jet opening, thumb over the fuel feed to the main jet, now blow suck, you should feel the check valve open and close, no close and it’s not working.
  18. There has never been a steel cage bearing on the 550/560.

    66 problem

I remember the Husqvarna 66, it was built in Yugoslavia with many parts sourced there, just a copy of the 266.

    Stihl masonry saw

Diamond chains are always run fairly loose, and rely on PLENTY of water to reduce heat and wear, I would say they are not using enough water, or the water channel in the bar is blocked. Is it Stihl, Husqvarna or ICS chain?
  21. Metering diaphragm hardened so no longer contacting the metering lever, the joys of todays fuel.
  22. The 120 mk 2 was the 235/236 all from the American factory and all entry level saws with a fixed oil pump, so there is no adjustment.
  23. I guess it’s one of those crappy pressure/vac oil tank things, so I would guess the non return valve is not working especially if you blasted a pressure through it.
  24. The only thing worse is a bloody petrol Flymo!
