5. Parts for Viking 2-3days depending what day you place order and Toro parts a week at my local Dealer ,this is the plus point for these mowers . Toro is Hayter or Hayter is Toro now . Ste
6. These are my David Brown 995s that I kept when the farm finished ,my Dad bought them new in 1973 and 1980 so they hold sentimental value to me . The 73 brown in the background I have now started to strip the engine and managed to find a bonnet for it has it sat on a slurry pump which rotted previous bonnet to virtually Nothing. I love the Brown gearbox's and have the Factory workshop files and can strip these with my eyes closed all-day long. Ste

9. Hi James ,warranty runs out next week and a blade brake pad has just worn out and the BELT is showing signs of wear which i think is due to the blade brake out of alignment and catching the edge of belt . Its built like a Brick **** house and heavy ,have made a few tweaks ie lowered blades and removed some silly guide bars on the edge of cutting house which would tear the grass on uneven lawns and its lowest cut . Have picked the revs up a tiny touch which wont bother the Kawasaki Fj engine . Don't expect it to suck the grass up like a Honda pro etc has it is designed for WELL MAINTAINED LAWNS . Ste
10. Very realistic and you can turn it over very easily. Ste Thankyou Burgess

19. Not many John , the older 7.3 engine in the Fords was good for 20 plus but am told the newer Diesels are not reliable hence Ford bought back over 600 + engines from the F250 upwards . Dodge run a Cummins 5.9 Diesel which is very reliable but less than 15mpg . Ste
20. These Trucks come over here and are down rated to 3.5 tons ,my Ford F350 is basically a 5 ton plus in the States . Problem with most of them especially the Twin/Dually 4x4 long beds King Cabs with 6.0 /6.4 Diesel engine weigh 3.5 ton EMPTY ! Has mine is a petrol 5.4 and 2wd with a small crew cab it weighs in at 2.6 tons There have been a handful of these trucks plated to 5-6 ton but its a very long drawn out affair with the SVA TEST ETC . Ste
21. My local council Halton Borough are from June charging £25 per bin for green waste ,do any other Councils charge ? I am not really concerned at the moment has majority of my Grass customers are with Liverpool and Knowsley but going from feed back here very few are going to pay which will leave me with the dilemma of charging customers for taking waste away ...catch 22 . Ste
22. Fatalities will increase ten fold if everyone fastened to a limb , why because the is more chance of the operator forgetting he is attached to a limb when he moves the jib away has to the remote chance of a well maintained Mewp failing . Personally I hate the machines and refuse to use them now or just not do the job . We had a local Tree surgeon lose his life in front of his son and that has stuck with me . Ste
23. This might sound a bit mad BUT go and do a Pretend run of the job and obviously without the strimmer ,just walk it and time the job will give you a accurate cost . Ste
