  1. Get yer sel down to Kendal and I could give you some work perhaps:)
  2. Lucky to own a couple of acres which my yard is on.
  3. I ran a Carlton 4012 radio remote for a couple of years it was great and effortless but I bet i never used it more than 20 times due to access issues. I still had a pedestrian grinder but only a 13hp job. Doing big stumps with that was nasty. With the HB20 it does not matter about the size and it is pretty effortless to use but will get in loads of spots big grinders won't.
  4. Not for long they wouldn't;)
  5. Get rid and get a HB20 mate awesome.
  6. Biter fit crack by the Mac Lads.
  7. I can't offer a warranty mate
  8. Hey Johny, why don't you weld up the cracks and stick em back in, be reet:)
  9. If you don't follow the book with maintaince, don't be suprised if something goes wrong is all.
  10. When you but a chipper or anything mechanical you are given an owners manual, init usually there is a service schedule etc, with my chipper it explains what to do when changing blades, clean blade pockets, torque bolts, use copper grease, use genuine parts etc. This is put there for a reason, this is the way the manufacturer has designed the machine to be run.
  11. Yawn. I forgot you know everything about everything.
  12. I really don't see why you have to take the pee? I'm putting across what I have been led to believe of the manufacturing process that goes into making genuine TW blades.
  13. Why would you not torque them? They have torque wrench settings for things for a reason. Glad you don't fix aeroplanes:)
  14. Funny the only time I used Saturn knives in my TW they cracked. They were torqued correctly. I have never used them since. This is my opinion on blades.
  15. Why not give them a call and ask them? I'm just putting across what was told to me but Timberwolf. I wouldn't think they would tell porkys.
  16. I don't know how Jensen, greenmech or forst make there blades but I'm sure they will be made to a high spec and standard. Maybe aftermarket blades are made the same but if you use genuine parts and there is a problem and you go back to the manufacturer with the product you have a better case if using genuine parts then non genuine.
  17. That's because they are the real thing, I use the same.
  18. Timberwolf make there own blades and use a secret process that is different to any other company. The blades from that batch then are tested and if not up to standard they are rejected. This is what I have been told by Timberwolf themselves.
  19. Depends on what chipper, TW non genuine are not made the same as genuine ones. The metal is different and it does not go through the same Manufacturing process.
  20. Not if there Timberwolf. Timberwolf make their own blades, these are then stamped with genuine Timberwolf. The aftermarket TW do not go through the same manufacturing process. As for other makes I can't comment.
  21. I've heard this about non genuine blades, apparently they are not made from as high quality steel that has been tempered/processed or whatever. Buy cheap, buy twice.

That fair enough and I would do the same if I was in your situation. My point was that this experience has been a bit of a range of emotions for you and has to be used to your advantage in the future. Let's hope the customer puts the word out that they crew that did that are poor. All the best.

The customer trusted the other guy who did the job, the reason you didn't get the job is because they had made a cock up and booked someone else before they accepted your quote etc, they did the honest thing and let u down as they had already said yes to the other bloke. Now he did a crap job and that's crap for them and the other bloke is a tosser for ripping them off. End of the day you have got the job and yes it isn't nice for them but use it to your advantage in the future when quoting for jobs. The other thing is you work for a company so regular wage, holiday pay etc, you do these jobs at the weekend etc, this is taking work of companys isn't it, but that's life so just put it in the life experience file and move on.
  24. Trust you to have a local with a tree as it name Paul:)

    110 Tipper.

I would also recommend firing a heavy duty rear anti roll bar as once you have a chip box on the like to roll. I have just fitted one to my 130 and it has made a huge difference.
