    I've had TW for 10 years 2 x 150's and just bought a new TW 230 VTR. Never had any problems, great back up from good dealers.

    Hi Dave, I live in Kendal and operate PMH Tree Surgeons. There is a guy lives in Endmoor called Steve who has a firm called Heartwood Tree Tec on Arbtalk and he is into shooting.

    Ha,Ha, nice try but I do mate and I don't get wet, I wear a wicking base layer and the cut and climb. I wouldn't say I'm dry as a bone but I am dryer than any other jacket I have worn. I did have a cut and climb that wasn't keeping me as dry as the older one I had so I sent it back and they sent me a new one which is waterproof maybe yours is from the same batch.

    There is only one jacket that comes close to keeping you dry and that is the Clark cut and climb jacket! Brilliant jacket.

    Berghaus deluge for me too, had them for years. I buy a pair a year, £40 well spent

    So for the poster, the PC can't just fell the tree without putting a notice of intent in to the LA. The tree officer will then come and look and will either put a TPO on the tree or he won't.

    Yes but they still have to put in the notice. If the PC get the tree felled without putting a notice of intent up then they can be prosecuted can they not?

    Yes mate, if they don't then they can get prosecuted or that's what I'm led to believe.

    Thinking about it if they don't put a TPO on the tree then they are consenting to you doing the work...

    What happens if they have taken the tree down without putting in an application then? The tree officer round here would certainly have something to say if it was done up my way.??

    If someone wants to buy it to mill then cool but round here they want it for nowt. I'm logging up all the time so it just goes on the pile and gets done when it gets done. No probs. I've had it before with a carver, wanted a lump of sycamore I had but didn't wanna pay for it, but he would carve it and asks for a load of money for it. Go figure??

    It's ok to say they should be milled but if nobody will cough up a decent price then I can make more from logging it. I know it's a shame but cash is king.

    I wouldn't hold your breath mate, I have 2 coming out tomorrow, bigger than yours and put them out to wood turners etc, none were prepared to pay much at all. The customer wanted £100 which I think is very fair. I will now be cutting up for logs as worth much more and less hassle. Good luck anyway.
