  8. Brilliant machine, Phil said you had got one, it's good that people are sticking with a brand, you had a 150 VTR as did I, this is in a different class though..works well as a tow behind too.

    Tipper ram

The pipe from my tipper ram to the pump blew today, I went and got another pipe made up and put it on and filled the tank up with oil. When I press my tipping button the pump works for a few seconds before the ram works, I guess that's now got air in?? How do I bleed the Ram?
  11. Good idea, I wonder why such a heavy duty pice of machinery didn't have something like that from the start?
  12. Get a tipping body on it and it would be cool!
  13. Trade it in for an HB20 mate;)
  14. It's a poor design IMO, the bandit is a better design cutting wheel and shaft IMO. Hope you get it sorted Scott. On a more positive note I've had the 230 chipping a huge Birch today and I was chucking whole limbs in and it boshed them no bother. It sounds awesome too!!
  15. The exact same thing happened to my mates, his was about 20hrs old too. It's a bit of a big to do, you need to loosen the taper lock and move it back, proper pain.
  16. I need to check out gisburn as I was there in March doing a days chipping and it looked a good place.
  17. Just get fitter and stronger and you don't need electric bikes;)

    New Radio

I have the Makita site radio and it has been very good but I find it very bass heavy. I also have a small Roberts DAB radio which was £35 and is excellent.
  19. I'm not into uplifts, I like going up hill better!!
  20. That's cheating;)
  21. I will have to come down and have a go. I've been reading about the bike park, sounds good.
  22. Phad Prik with chicken or Phad tai with king prawn. Mmmmm
  23. No mate, just cut down portion size and loads of exercise.
  24. Well since my weight loss regime started in November I had a goal of being able to get out on my MTB like the old days, well since the spring I have been training up and getting my fitness back, I've done 2 local MTB challenges for charity and been hitting my local Singletrack hard. We have an abundance of top quality riding here in the lakes so I will be sharing them as and when I do them. today's venture is around one of my favourite routes, it starts in Staveley and heads up into the Kentmere valley, lots of nice Singletrack to test your skills and then fast descents. Then I headed up Garburn pass which is an old pack horse route and very steep, in rideable in places so you have to walk, once at the top you get a great view around the lakes. Next is a fast decent into Troutbeck, again fast, rocky descents. At the bottom I headed back up into Kentmere through high borans, again cool single track with lots of rocks and peat bogs to play in. Then it's a fast, rocky decent into Kentmere and back to Staveley for a bacon bun! BOOM, 31K done by 10am.
  25. 1. Go and look. 2. Once you have looked and are happy with the job you can quote. Start with what you would normally charge and then add on the extra costs involved. then... 3. Add on 50%
