    Cleaned up and got her running without too much smoke! 2 issues, not all the chain oil is going along the chain, should there be some kind of gasket between the bar and the oil hole. Will not idle well, there is a leak in the purge bulb, will this effect running same as air leaks elsewhere or is the purge isolated from the carb when running? Sorry numpty questions. TIA OG

    Neighbour just put oil in fuel tank and fuel in oil tank. He then tipped out and replaced, then ran. Very smokey and lacking power. Having not stripped and cleaned an echo any tips and mistakes to avoid?

    Off topic, cycled to and stayed in Llaniloes last week. Loved the high street and wool market, was a lovely billhook in the shop on the high street but was shut on sunday.

    Spot on , saw photo of church yard without tree about 100 years ago. Could not believe it was so young, looked like 500 year old yew.

    Spilt from the trunk, then rough planed and then turned. My concern is how much more it will dry, maybe come loose. I need to rough turn some and leave them until needed.

    My son has just bought some land which has trees on the boundary of the village. He was being hassled by a villager that a tree was unsafe so got a surgeon to investigate. Long story short, tree is now cut down. Turns out tree had a TPO. Should the tree surgeon have investigated? Should solicitors have flagged this up in sales contracts? It also appears he has 11 trees with TPO but can only find 7! What should he do?

    That is the tree about 5 minutes after I started and decided I should keep a record. I will try to take one later, I would value your advice. re HC, completely understand what you are saying, but the French being so good with there trees will have another one planted and ready to go when that on dies, surely much better than here where people plant inappropriate trees, let them get too big and then cut them down with no replanting. Pollarding and pleaching I guess is almost indefinitely sustainable? But it has survived quite a long time! Having cycled the length of the Loire last year I was so blown away by the pollards I came home and pleached? two trees in our garden which have got too big. It's still alive!

    today's continuation of the sloping oak cut 4 big planks off the bottom then 3 off the butt cutting uphill Used the winch on the butt as it was damm steep

    Finally got there, second attempt at bending the top. Angle of back is not perfect and only slim ladies allowed to sit on it.
