Evening All, I guess its a general question but is there a good/better MC for Oak before its put in a kiln, ie, what MC should I reach air drying before kilning ? Thanks, Al.

That's a fair point Rob. In the end I went with a product from Ronseal designed for outdoor hardwood furniture as it covered all the bases. Turn out good.

You have to remember that fitness is a generic term. It's about being adapted to what your trying to do. For example a professional cyclist is fit, but would not be 'fit' if he competed in worlds strongest man, and visa versa. So you may not be fit when it comes to doing Insanity workouts but climbing trees you are. It's all about what your adapted/conditioned to.

That's horseshit. There's a Waitrose near me that has a car park (and is signed as parking for Waitrose) however it's a council car park. I was only in there 5 mins, most expensive pint of milk ever !

I basically ruined a rope from this. Just glazed it up from one long retrieval. I started using a ring, but it's nothing on a pinto.

That certainly looks like it will help a lot with the friction issues you get sometimes with retrieval. Have you tried the alpine/pinto anchor ? That helps a lot too.

There will be someone out there. As much as I enjoy climbing (most of the time), I would rather be away from it all, saw and combi can working in front of a machine.

I'm a 14. I have had Arbortec Scafell XCRs in a 14, good boot but a little pricey. I'm currently using Prabos A1RB's, only had them a couple of months but they are going well so far. Arbortec's new Scafell Lites are also available in a 14. There are a few about, just got to look a bit harder for them.

That's my boot after I hit it with a 560XP running 3/8 sprocket and chain. Cut straight through to my sock, without them I would of lost all my toes and most of my foot for sure.

I've just lost one of the hooks on my A1RB's. Not my HASS boot though, think it must be from wearing spikes.

The one in Lymington got done a few months back. I think all they got away with was some horse feed ! Sod the chainsaws and Barbour jackets lads, get a load of this ! -
I know a chap who replaced his Defender with a Ranger and he is a very happy man. I don't know what he thinks about the difference in towing capacity or MpG. I think he's still in shock about how quite it is, comfy it is, and the lack of water coming in when it rains ! On a serious note I'm planning on doing the same next year. Love Defenders to bits, but....
