  2. Another one tonight. Grabs the attention of the Matbro!
  3. I think Jeremy Clarkson also thought that they were a good idea till he had a flock!
  4. I cannot remember anyone saying anything but good about her in all those years. She kept her word about dedicating her life to this country, and has commanded respect from all over the World. She will be sorely missed
  5. Some people on here think that Mark should be humanely stunned on occasion!
  6. We used to farm near Lynn as well, but on the South side. On a clear day like today, I can see Wolferton from the top of the Lincolnshire Wolds. I did not know the family, but father may have. Do not know if they are related to the Larringtons of trailer and hydraulics near Boston.
  7. Well I never realised that I was a Gary Boy, had to look it up! But you are correct, I did have a loud stereo blasting out Jimi Hendrix and Rory Gallagher! Had to be loud due to the two straight through exhausts ending with a pair of Peco silencers Gary Boy - Urban Dictionary https://www.urbandictionary.com › define › term=Gary... Much like a Barry boy, a Gary boy drives around in a car (usually some old model they bought second hand) with the music pumped up so loud that it shakes
  8. I regret not keeping the Escort I built in 1975 Mk 1 RS bodyshell brand new in grey primer from Ford AVO for £270 fitted with 3 litre V6 and overdrive gearbox from a Gilbern RS brakes etc. Sold the bodyshell in 1990 to a grasstrack racer from Skegness for £50! Engine and drivetrain still going strong in a Dutton Phaeton
  9. How much did Prince Andrew have to pay Fergie over the years???!!
  10. How much would my Little Grey Fergie be worth with H M the Queen as the second owner? Start bidding at £100k???
  11. Another thought I had was perhaps to cut off the top of a round plastic oil drum the same diameter as the bottom of the pole and fill it full of creosote before putting it in the ground to let the creosote soak in and also stop water getting into the wood
  12. You would feel a bit of a prick using that!
  13. We had a whole 33kva line changed simply because it was 50 years old, nothing to do with condition, and the poles looked fine with no signs of rot
  14. We have been lucky here in Lincolnshire with just enough rain to keep things going. One and a half inches about ten days ago but very local. Some places none others two and a half inches. But the green growth in the trees and hedges has been spectacular, all the crops have done well and give me a dry harvest with less yields and no drying costs any day. Less bunged machines as well. Our little orchard has been very good too with Discovery and Early Windsor apples also Greensleeves IMG_3425.MOV , Comice and Conference pears, greengages, plums, damsons, apricots, walnuts, figs, gooseberries, raspberries. I shall be singing loudly at harvest festival!
  15. I think that if I was short of money and desperate, I would buy an electric blanket for a chair and bed like the ones on Amazon Only 70 watts and probably a lot cheaper to run and buy than a heat pump
  16. I see in the paper today that the energy price cap for April 2023 is £6,069.00 Our fuel and electricity costs are all going up to process the wood so at some point this will have to be passed on to the customer. I think that we need to come up with an Arbtalk figure for the cost of a ton of hard/ soft wood, the labour cost / hour, the machinery depreciation, the fuel and electric power to convert it into dry firewood, office work and taxes, and work out a sensible profit margin. This will make us all find out that we are working for nothing!
  17. She was staring down at where your legs should be because use she thought you were legless!
  18. I think that we need pictures of your waistline with constant updates! Much improved presentation though!
  19. Looks like my dog's dinner! But 10/10 for content, less marks for presentation!
  20. Very good guesses! Pine. 375.5 kg Sycamore. 1557.5 kg
