Having done 8 years agri and equine fencing, other than what we used to do I've not seen as neater professional fencing as spikeys, with the exception of a few. Have you entered the Tornado comp at all??

Thanks for your point Stubby, I think you've hit the nail about the what the customer wants thing. The lady wanted my opinion on what would be best, I gave it her along with the quote and lost it to a completely different quote. Hey Ho we live and learn that's the main thing. Thanks

Ok calm down, and I am not the one "ripping" into someone's work. As I am still slightly green at it I wanted opinions as to why theses guides are in place if "for the greater part" nobody works to them??

Apparently the local TO said that they could pollard this beech to 2/3s. This was NOT done by myself, just wanted all your views on it. I'm puddled as to what they class as "topping" which is not acceptable, and pollarding? PC

Getting a bit annoyed with pricing for specific work, then losing it to other people that don't price like for like, do lesser quality work at a cheaper rate leaving me scratching my head. What a waste of effort, I wish I could pull up and top a few trees fell a few others and bugger off but I just can't. I also can't live on nowt either.... Grrrr! Sorry guys rant over..
