  3. The problem I have is i live on a small island with a massive lack of skilled workers! so i plan to train someone to remove trees with a cherry picker instead of climbing
  4. I would say i hire once a month but a lot of trees would be much faster with the cherry picker and safe my body haha. I would be hoping to make good money whilst on hire
  5. Alright guys Just wondering if there is anyone out there who bought a cherry picker with the idea to hire it out as a side business along with running a small tree team. I am interested in buying a Cabstar 20m hoist to use along side my tree work then hire out when ever I am not using it. Just wondering if anyone has experience with doing this with regards to insurance etc. Its going to cost 25k+ so want to make sure am not messing up but want to keep business growing Cheers

  8. Alright Guys Just wondering if anyone has one of this cherry pickers or has used one for a period of time? looking at buying one but want to know how reliable they are as there seems to be alot of electrics? Any advice would be appreciated Joe

  11. Am not sure, I like the toyota dyno, they have that but the cabs are bloody tiny!!
  12. Thanks for the reply's lads. I just like the cabstars and grafter as they are more like a mini lorry instead of a van like the transits.

  15. just waiting on the price for the cabstar. but think its about £15+ bloody Isle of Man is just a rip off! might come to uk and bring one back if its going to be a couple grand less. The cabstars just dont look as well built. Might be wrong tho!
  16. I lie The £20500+ was for the small wheel base tipper and the long wheel base was the £17950+ I live on the isle of man so cost to get on island etc
  17. £17995+VAT for the 120 £20500+VAT for the 150 But they were quoted with steel deck
  18. Alright guys, Going to buy a brand new truck. Stuck between a isuzu N35 120bhp or a nissian cabstar 136bhp There is a fair few grands difference between them. I have a isuzu nkr now, great truck. But the nissian is so much cheaper and look similar. Does anyone have any experience with the 2014 cabstars? build quality etc? Any help would be great, save me spending days on the internet deciding!! Thanks Joe
  19. I am with the same company as you, think I pay £58 a month, And get the £1500 pay out. I am 25. Worth having I think. The policy i have, If you cant work as a tree surgeon they pay your out till your 70. unlike a lot of policy that the minute you can flip burgers they stop paying out.

  22. I will check that thanks. my rollers run fast but seem to slip on the wood instead of dragging it in and snapping the crotches, real good motor tho, plenty of power!
