That was my hope. Must be so much quicker. What about four way knife heads , are the benefitial? I have one for my little Mignon , and it is quicker on the right stuff , wondering about billets really. sent from my phone but never in work time.

That is what I shall go for then. It looks as if the bigger versions , 18 plus tonnes , have bigger splitting heads , which is see as a bonus on smaller stuff . Do you know if this is the case ? sent from my phone but never in work time.

Certainly original. There is one on YouTube where two fellas gave one on a trailer , which splits in half so no loading or unloading. sent from my phone but never in work time.

Problem with one like mine is the ram doesn't go all the way to the footplate , so you can get caught out with different lengths , so I split them on the table thus. My next step is to upgrade to a big vertical. sent from my phone but never in work time.

I just checked it out on the Tube . I used the technique for tempered steel , but used a diamond stone , albeit a cheap one , but it worked very well. sent from my phone but never in work time.
