  1. There is a spider with a bright green bum , almost fluorescent , which used to frequently bite my mate as raise a little bump but nothing much.

  6. I know where there is an old rotorvator that is now inside an ash tree.
  7. Yes , it does look like it needs a wash
  8. Stop it with the petroleum cars. I had a Rover P6 V8s any years ago and loved it. Surely they are very thirsty?
  9. Don't really fancy a petrol car , nice though they doubtless are. Gearbox in the diesel is a ZF unit and supposed to last longer...
  10. Thank you. I shall have a look.
  11. And in five years time she is worth squat  I shall stick with someone else's cast offs .
  12. Lord no Jon. It will have be a few years old.
  13. Looking round the net , and reading these posts , I have a hankering g for the TDV8 Range Rover. Whilest still from the Land Rover stable , it appears to be fairly reliable , classy inside and very good at towing. Thank you all for your input.
  14. You can spray it now with copper , it will not hurt the plant .
  15. Don't know what the bit you need looks like ,but powerharrow blades would work ,worn ones will be cheap too. Old plough Breast , anything like that. Leaf spring steel is also good stuff.
  16. Copper spray makes them gay again.
  17. Crrently use a 110 td5 truck but want something to take the grandchildren out in and capable of towing 3 500kg. I could doubtless get away with keeping my Landy , but fancy something special and the grandchildren can be my excuse. I appreciate they both cost a little more to run. Intend to spend 10k but would up it to 15 when the wife was looking the other way. Which is best ?
  18. You are absolutely correct. I had a good look at it and worked out how it worked and asked about fuel rate , parts and servicing . The burner is rated at 3m btu and while I can't get a clear answer on fuel flow , it would appear to be extravagant for thus purpose. However , combined with say and a big workshop wood burner ,which would keep the temperature farly high , it might be possible to make it viable and dry wood very quickly. Your idea of drying the wood on the outside makes it much safer and you could build some sort of insulated thingy to keep in as much heat as possible. It is something I am unlikely to try but I just have to check these things out , sometime you find a good idea.
  19. Yes, I think something like that would probably be the most efficient. Those inner panels could be removed and the interior made squarer and much bigger and easier to stack too
  20. Loading and unloading is the problem. However , all panels are bolted on so something could be done. The roof could be opened up to allow lowering of stills or crates or plain tipping . The end opposite the fans could be made into a door . I think these grain dryers have potential ,they give very high temperatures and could probably dry 5 cube in a day.
  21. It's Mtronic mate. I was not comparing the two saws on power just ease of use. I wanted to use the 261 because it is lighter but got fed up with it farly sharpish.
