  1. Hi Ian, mog looks great. We are in a similar boat but struggling to work out licencing and registration and such. What is yours registered as and how are you coping with a licence for it? Weights etc.... We was thinking about just registering it on Agric but then domestic work is out of the equation unless we take the risk. Just wondering how others are doing there mogs. Cheers
  2. Found this in an ancient oak wood near me, I don't know what it is does anybody have any idea?
  3. Do the sensible thing, Just bore round the cambium 3 - 4 inch. Then bore two holes in the centre and we he's not looking fill it with semtex, though you won't need much. 250g of that good stuff'll bring down a plane. Used this technique many a time with trees next to buildings and railway bridges Good luck Sam
  4. Cheers N, figured that'd be a good angle in slo mo. Sam
  5. Cheers, All 5 of the pops probably took us about 4 days with 1 climber and 2 groundsmen. There were many more trees that we did in that site though, including the biggest pear tree I've ever seen. Sam
  6. Cheers mate, course we were tempted! 😀 But there was houses to the left, right and behind, but we thought to take the safe route... we straight felled 3 of the 5. But the video doesnt show. Had a turfer on 'em all though! Extra safe ! Sam
  7. The reason for the ladders was the risk of Felling through decayed wood, as it sounded hollow and decayed more so than the first. It sounded & felt much more solid at about 10 feet up
  8. Back when we were at college.... 😂 It give us a good chuckle !!
  9. One of my first videos that I've made. after felling that first one, I had my doubts about the condition of the biggest one on the end.....😓 Felling from behind, on ladders is not the safest scenario I am completely aware, in the case this was the sensible option. But wahey all went smoothly!! Do you think I should of put music in the video?? For future videos Cheers -- Sam
  10. Shame, we took down 5 big pops last month that would of been ideal, all logged up about 9 ton

  15. When we were practising outside of college we just used to go climb park trees and pretty much any tree that looked fun. Never got any trouble.
