    Fly tips!

Does anybody else have the joyful pleasure of clearing up fly tips? I work for a LA and recently were getting more and more! I'm on a 2 hour response call out contract and I'm sick of being dragged out of bed for bloody fly tips and scarily the locations are getting more and more dangerous we've had 3 full cut and stacked transits tip their load on lane one of the A6 in the last few months! Today I had 3 tonne of conifer and privet tipped in a high st slap bang outside the church
  2. I flattened a post man a few months ago he'd come through multiple taped barriers, blockades and a ridiculous amount of signs
  3. A few from my yard today haven't got a clue what they are but hopefully someone else will. .
  4. How big was the gaboon viper? Looks a good size
  5. A spyderco harpy on my harness and a spyderco delica 4 in my pocket, I never leave home without the latter
  6. Bring it on! I'll be in a 10 tonne gritter

  11. Yeah had wasps loads and a good sized wild bees nest in a chestnut years ago
  12. Yep not my idea of entertainment either their pretty damn scary when they've got a purpose!
  13. This shows just how hollow she was and theirs a sneaky ganoderma bracket in there too!!
  14. Which we did....... In all fairness after 20 mins they were fine and I always find a hornets biggest weakness is its loyalty they always return to the nest even if it means certain death
  15. Here's a few I found on clear up
  16. Felled a large beech yesterday which was a high risk to the public, she'd dropped a large limb mid week which needed clearing and revealed a rather large cavity so the TO decided removal was the safest option Text book fell apart from being far more hollow than we originally assumed and then.......... Buzzing! So much buzzing! Easily the biggest hornet nest I've ever seen 18" long and sat 40ft up inside the stem hit the Tarmac! it was hung at the very top of the cavity and we unleashed hell so like the big brave men we are.... We ran off!
  17. Felled some standing dead holly a few weeks back that the deer and bunnies had savaged and despite them being dead for 2+ years they were still as wet as a live one inside
  18. She's alive! Carbs been rebuilt and she's had a full strip down and clean up, started eventually and after a quick tune up she roars
  19. Hmmm fence panels, sheds, bt lines, I impaled an Audi a4 through the boot with a sycamore stem, transit windscreens, threw a house brick straight through a shed Panel and into a conservatory window...... Ooh and you know that very last little slice you take of when tidying up a cut... That "little" disc flew off clipped the top bar on a green house and shattered every pane on the top row! Bad day! And obviously numerous cables and pipes tucked away in stumps
  20. Weird........ Their fb14 padlocks all keyed alike and the keys are carried by the fire service l, which ain't gonna help the poor buggers stuck on the wrong side of it!
  21. Might be a good idea!
  22. Been down that route and no no connection the hire company's pretty big too to be fair
  23. Yep all real can't post a pic though as anyone local will know it straight away
  24. My company is massive! To them this is pennies the main company made 700+ million last year so to them it's nothing
  25. Funny you say that difflock we've got a fleet of useless indespension trailers lol and the best looking 110 defender you've ever seen! Solid ally tipping body and tool box 3300kg empty!!! Waste of bloody money
