  1. This definitely isn't a wind up its 100% genuine. And as much as I'd love to name and shame..... I can't! As Matty can confirm saying anything about this company or employees is a sackable offence as my brother found out!
  2. If someone higher up the food chain isn't getting a big cut out of it ill be amazed! We've got 14 strimmers polesaws blowers hedge cutters etc and there normally priced....... It's just the saws??
  3. Unfortunately we're in a damn contract with this hire company and we get fined if we buy our own plant and we've got 3 more years of contract left to run :-/ and no we won't get new saws yearly these are all were getting if one needs replacing we gotta pay for it via them
  4. I do indeed work for a council in a fashion We currently pay £60.28 per saw per week regardless of size! £3,134.56 a year each, with a grand total of £56,422.08!!!!!! A year
  5. Because its interesting to see people's opinion......
  6. Ecodao...... Closer but still miles off
  7. Oh no! Everyone's too low by a country mile!
  8. Yeah that's pretty much it gtr the hire company openly admit they no nothing about chainsaws so they did us a great deal on them lol and no no ones even slightly close yet
  9. Nope keep going......
  10. Nope miles off! Basically any damage to saws we have to pay for it.
  11. Just discovered today the unbelievable price the company I work for pays to "hire" our saws! We have: 5x ms200t 7x ms260 2x ms460 1x ms441 1x ms660 Have a guess at how much we pay a year! Bearing in mind we buy our own chains and bars and all repairs, servicing and maintenance is carried out in house...... And Matt this doesn't include you!
  12. Voila! One shiny clean carb annoyingly ultrasonic cleaning fluid didn't shift the worse bits but wheel acid did and very quickly
  13. Would wheel acid not fix it? That's for use on stainless and alloy so might help? It really is baked on hard!
  14. Plenty of suggestions, ill give em a go! Got a few bits that need cleaning so will see what works best. And cheers spud ill drop them a line! Do they sell other parts too? Need a few random gaskets as well
  15. Fingers crossed then everything else is pristine and It came with a brand new spare clutch so it's just this that needs some attention, recommendations on the carb kit? Found plenty from the states but no uk supplier yet
  16. Nope....... The whole body is a tad crusty tbh it ran fine yesterday with some fresh fuel but today nothing! So pulled the carb and the diaphragm had turned to jam! Kinda expected it tbh it is nearly 50 years old
  17. Gonna need to get me an ultrasonic cleaner! Carbs fully stripped now, gotta order the usual gubbings but the carb body just looks rough! So Ill give that a go ta much
  18. One for the techs I think! but can anyone suggest something for cleaning carbs I don't mean the usual crap that comes off with normal cleaner, I'm talking about the hard limescaly rubbish that builds up on the older machines particularly the internals as you can see in the pic?
  19. Luckily I've just acquired a shiny new 200t for work so won't have to sink to the 201 yet
  20. ......... And! yep it's got a little manual oiler button on the handle. It's gonna be amazing! Lol
  21. Gonna chuck a carb kit in her as its a tad furry! It's a phenomenal bit of kit for its size and it so simple to strip down, she's a bit grubby and the mufflers solid with carbon so she's gonna be amazing after a clean up!
  22. Gonna get her cleaned up and serviced she's been locked in a garage for 30 years so probably due one! Any idea what power these produce? For a small saw this thing tears through timber
  23. Found this little gem today started first pull too seriously meaty for such a small saw!!
  24. That's alright mate it's just sitting on my shelf doing sod all lol
