  2. Cheers fella, it's got a pretty quick refresh time for a tacho!
  3. They don't make them any more thats the problem it's one of the classic tacho's can't find any for sale either only threads about how they don't come up to often etc
  4. Is this tacho worth selling? Got a virtually new one and its just not getting used anymore!
  5. Got a shiny new one of these sitting doing nothing on my bench, any idea if its worth selling?
  6. Just curious to see who's hit what over the years? Some times they just seem to pop out of thin air! The worst and most recent of mine was levelling a pretty straight forward pensilvanica stem ready to be ground out and hit a street lighting spur 12" above soil level in the centre of the stump with my 660. Flash...bang... new pants!
  7. Stump grinders are lethal for that! I use a predator R50T and that picked up a chunk of engineering brick took it back over the wheel and out the front Straight through the guards, a feather edge panel into the neighbours conservatory window, needless to say I didn't make any money on that job
  8. I went with my school 16 years ago with battlefields tours and the first half of the trip is all a good laugh looking at battlegrounds having a go in the trenches etc but the second half was graves, I don't think any one was prepared for the sheer volume of head stones! And then then the sobering reality that a vast majority of soldiers hadn't and probably never will be found....... It was a very emotional afternoon and drive home!
  9. Yeah not the end of the world though is it, it's a pretty epic bit of kit so it'll get what's needed. She was another forgotten about barn find that was in amazing condition considering. What's the damage on your aftermarket clutch? A genuine one is 180ish iirc?
  10. Oh joy I like this saw already only had a lil play with her last week, next on the my hit list is to get my 070 running again, she's spent way too long in the shed! Hopefully Steves gonna tackle her in a month or so..... contemplating the 090 pot, piston and clutch upgrade too....... Hopefully this homelite will be equally entertaining
  11. Worth a laugh then! Ill get some pics up when I get 5 mins, she looks virtually new!
  12. Random! Hopefully I ain't gonna need to pull it apart anytime soon just love these old saws its nice to keep them in action
  13. Luckily the old boys background is garden machinery so he looks after them, he's got a serious collection of old school stihl's but this girl is just taking up space in his garage there serviced every year without fail it even comes with a box or sundries he reckons its a 1974 model? fired first pull and running a 32" bar, not sure of power but feels meatier than my ms460
  14. Any of you guys had any experience with one of these? I'm picking a great example up of an old gent next week, he's had it from new and only used it a few times, apart from a generous coat of dust she's brand new!
