  1. Erm, you seem to have forgotten your gorkel (gay snorkel)! :-)
  2. Welsh lumberjack... Just get a landrover & be done with. Pulsar gtr? Pffffftt! Haha hahaha ;-)
  3. Hia, cheers for that, I may just buy some now on the basis of that just for the pole saw
  4. I am eating my humble pie as I type... (not being sarcastic!)
  5. Was it? Apologies if it came across like it , yesterday may have been a bad day :-)
  6. Well, well done you... Because in this price sensitive world which we seem to be in right now, I've noticed a lot of home owners going with the cheapest quote & round here that'll be the gypos. Just because you rock up in hi viz & a shiny new truck doesn't mean they know what their doing. Surely you wouldn't want anyone to get injured or killed taking a tree down next to a live line?! The op may not be aware of the different nptc certificates & that's what I was trying to do so hopefully he won't get a cowboy in.
  7. Only viewing on my phone so can't really see if it's a bare copper service line or abc, is it a single strand wire or 3 or 4 interwoven strands? If it's abc (aerial bundled cable you won't have much luck with the power company, if its a bare copper service line then give them a ring. Looks like a minimum clearance standard through prune to me so doubt you'll see them for another 3 or 4 years. If it's down to you make sure the arborist who undertakes this job is UA certified, however give the power company a ring as they may want to shut down the power for the work be done. Let us know how you get on
  8. Really? Your profile pic looks like an 06/07! How much do you reckon the conversion will cost?
  9. There wasn't any noticeable play in the centre bearing but it was enough to cause the vibes. Would love to convert the back properly but I'm too scared to take the tub off incase I find rot on the chassis. Not really worth the money converting an 02 plate so when I do it'll be a protipper. Co. Uk joby, then I can put it easily onto another truck. Keep us updated on the conversion bud 👍
  10. Yeah was a combination of the prop centre bearing, a new wheel bearing that needed tightening & a collapsed wheel bearing! :-)
  11. Bartletts again?!?
  12. Why anyone would insult a container is beyond me!?! ;-)
  13. If you're going to store logs in a container then get one with back & front doors (can't remember what they're called) condensation shouldn't be too bad if it's shaded /out of the sun. The one I had was nearly new & only used one way, which was boarded out & had 4 vents & condensation wasn't too bad but as others have said - airflow is the key although you already know that! If it was me (& planning wasn't an issue) I'd build a log store out of telegraph poles. Or if that's not an option then an old curtain sider is cheap enough.
  14. That's even better than landrover porn :-)
  15. A mate was on the books with Worcester city council & arbs were paid the same rate as the binmen & expected to fill in on the bins when short of staff. Unless you're their lead Climber or a masonic brethren then good luck to you :-)
  16. Bargain basement but could be good to start out with... ford ranger tipper | eBay
  17. Can't forget the dog so it's got to be a double cab! Just not enough room in a single cab for jackets, sarnies, cakes etc But it really depends on whether he'll be transporting blokes or logs/chip /kit
  18. Busiest week ever & not much left! :-)
  19. Where abouts are you? & what length are they cut too ? I'm between Haverfordwest & Fishguard, cheers
  20. Didn't see this post earlier but nail & head comes to mind, with a bit of banging
  21. Yeah £11 a stump just seems too low?! Agree 450-600 a day is a good income & fair play if you're out doing that every day but with how many men /machines? Maybe with 3 or 4 jobs right next to each other you could but It's quite rural here & you'd have no chance. Just out of interest, how much for one 10" stump with easy access ?
  22. You're too cheap pal & just devaluing what everyone else does. I'm all for competition but when you go to cheap the arse will fall out of the market...
  23. £280 thought i priced it a bit low?! It'll take me more than 3 hours though :-)
  24. I really do hope so!
  25. I've never bought aspen or motomix (too tight) shelf life unopened is very long but how long will a container last once opened?
