  1. Wasn't that back in the 066 days?
  2. That would be a 560xpg and another 560xpg!
  3. They reduce the effective exaust opening by about 20% when clean, and by more when they get clogged up. Just remove it, if they aren't mandatory in the area where you cut.

Your problem, not mine - but good luck anyway!

There is no "low quality" involved there at all, and there has been a lot more issues with the 7900 than with those Huskys trough the years, specially when you consider the limited amount in use. The price picture vary around the world.
  6. Stihl doesn't make semi-pro saws by now, the "midrange" saws are just larger consumer/homeowner saws.

As I recall it, there has been some trouble with those (very expensive) kits - but I don't recall what it is?

Hardly the main factor concening where it will hit!
  9. Odd question - they are easily availiable trough any Husky dealer.....
  10. There is only one way to find out how well it works for you, and rims are cheap. My expectations wouldn't be high unless it is a Magnum though, but it depends on a lot of factors.
  11. 038AV, 61cc 038 Super, 67cc 038 Magnum, 72cc. Anyway, an 8-pin usually doesn't mean that you need any extra dl, but it has been known to happen....
  12. I mostly agree, and the saws don't handle and balanse well at all with the listed max bar length, even though the saws don't have any real problems in the power department. The main reason to list them may be what you said, but I suspect the expectations in the huge US market also is a factor. The attitude is quite different there, and using "max" bar length much more common..... Personally I'm sort of "between" I guess, as all my 50cc saws have 16" bars on them!
  13. I totally agree!
  14. Likely, but I haven't seen it myself, so I can't say for sure. It works fine on the 346xp family of saws, but again not on the 242xp etc....
  15. Yep!
  16. Opinions on that will of course vary!
  17. Be aware that there also are regular .325 chain in 1.3mm/.050 though - but you can't run it on NK/Pixel bars on the 550-family saws (you can on some other saws).
  18. If I was going to use aftermarket, I sertainly would look at meteor first, but their reputation for cylinders isn't as stellar as for pistons. In general, aftermarket cylinders tend to have inferior porting compared to OEM, resulting in a lower power output - and then there is the quality differenses.
  19. Yes, that's how it is. It was that way with the 262 as well.
  20. All the OPE brands and factories owned by E-lux became part of the Husky OPE Group, including Flymo.
  21. The Husqvarna OPE Group was cut loose from Electrolux in 2006, even though the other Husqvarna products still are under Electrolux "wings".
  22. That could be, but it shouldn't really matter when the parts will fit the models sold in the UK.
  23. OK, likely simpler to buy one from the US then - I had no problem getting the "562" (standard 7-spline) clutch drum here in Norway though.
  24. I find it very odd if it can't be ordered - but you may of course have to wait a while if it isn't in Stock.
  25. Looking up the IPLs should tell you what you need (they are on several Husky websites, if they aren't on the UK one, look at the Swedish or US one) - but I seriously doubt you will gain anything but bulk and weight by doing it - unless you are in very "dusty" conditions. If you want as much air as possible in, use a nylon mesh filter.
