  1. Sounds like air leaks, but I know very little about those saw, except they are crap, even compared to other cheap Poulan made Husky saws....
  2. Somehow 16" feels more right on both size saws to me , but I use up to 20" on the 60cc ones, when needed. The lighter 60cc saws do handle better with a 16" though (MS361W and 560xpg).
  3. Small mount bars in 3/8" isn't a problem, even though not every dealer have them in stock (in Europe). You can get a 3/8x7 rim for the small spline (504 52 30-02 from Husky), but usually not a 3/8x8 (I don't thing that would work well on the 550 anyway).
  4. Btw, you need a standard (some call it large) 7-spline drum to use 3/8x8 or .325x9 on the 560, as those rims aren't made for the small 7-spline drums. It is easily availiable from Husky.
  5. If that's about .325, it should. Be aware that what works for one person (and his set of conditions) may not work for the next person(and his set of conditions), as there are a lot of variables involved. You don't know before you have tried it!
  6. Try 3/8x8 on the 560 when using a 15" bar.
  7. The muffler/cylinder outlet system of the 7910 obviously is detrimental to power output, which also is reflected in the power specs. It obviously has been done for emission (EPA in US lingo) reasons, and nothing else.
  8. Sounds like the same ol' crude Chinese knockoff of an old Zenoah design, that appears under different "brand names" all the time - stay away! If they are, they are sold by the pallet in the color the (pallet) costumers request, and are branded in different ways, courtecy of the costumer. Then they appear in ads on different "sales" sites, like E-bay, with more or less suspect descriptions - that may lead an unsupecting costumer to believe they are decent saws. They aren't, pure crap!
  9. Most? 50cc, usually 346xp, with a 16" bar, no way around that. Sprocket size varies between .325x7 and .325x8 - chain is usually 21LP/LPX.
  10. The 460, and likely the 461 as well, are for people that like vibes in the hands though. Lots of people has given up using the 460 for that reason.
  11. 95VP or 95VPX - but if course the drive sprocket has to be .325 as well. What sort of Rancher saw is it?
  12. I understand that one is much better.
  13. The 235/236/240 likely is the worst saws Husky ever put their brand name on. My dealer refused to sell them, and I know other dealers did as well. The same is of course the case with the Jonsered 2234/2238.
  14. Then you should look closer at the Dolmar 420, over the lighter and weaker plastic cased "homeowner" saws.
  15. Well, suit yourself - all is fine when people know what they are doing, and why! ...but often that isn't the case.....
  16. Are you sure that you need the wrap handle and the HD set-up? They certainly increase the weight and bulk some.
  17. Basically the same, but not always 100%, is another way to say it.... Finding a NOS 7900/7901 would of course be preferable to buying a 7910
  18. I don't know if it is an issue to the OP, I just posted it to make his choise a more "educated" one. There are 50cc pro saws that handle better than the 420SC, and aren't much heavier - but the price is of course higher (346xp and 550xp).
  19. More power and better quality - much heavier and clumsier to handle though - it is up to the buyer to deside what is most important.... I would no doubt have taken the 435 over the 211, if nothing else it looks much better!
  20. There at least were some GB 16" 3/8" bars that took a 59dl chain, but I agree it is a stupid dl count, as it messes up the perfect sequenses of a 60dl.
  21. There also is a chance that the saw is stolen, as they weren't meant to be sold to the public. This isn't the first time I have seen pics of such a saw, and there have been similar versions of other models as well - but it is the first one in private ownership.
  22. Those saws are just curiosa in private ownership - they are clearly not meant to be used.
  23. The main issue with a 24" bar an a 560xp is the balance - the powerhead simply is too light to reasonably balanse the bar. About such cutting comparisons, they are basically worth nothing, as there are too many unknown variables involved.
  24. The ad isn't correct, as the case isn't clear of course, as it is metal. The plasic covers and tank are clear though. It is a "showroom special", and I believe few enough were made, that they may attract some collector interest? i have no idea how strong the clear plastic is....
  25. If that is about the clutch, it is as it usually (always?) is.
