  2. Well my 'vintage' saw had cut **** loads without a problem , reward those that work well for you , so it gets a full refit , if yours is that bad I'd chuck it in a skip

  5. I never even looked on eBay :-(( the dealer said 50 for the pump Sod's law the parts are on back order so I'd prob be quicker on eBay Cheers for your Reply mate I should have just opened it up myself instead of being lazy

Well it's not been oiling , ruined chains , compression is grand and does run a treat So figured lets see , chucked it in to the stihl dealer he want 140 quid new oiler , chain few other bits decided go for it as if something works why scrap it and can't get the same for £140 #on the other conversation on here ,,start small with old gear you know and slowly build up

I only ask as I'm about to move back up north, so I can have more time to study, ideally I'd get some tree work do dry stane dyking and some farm work, leaving a secure well paying job but a job that's inside and not for me, Only live once and I'd rather die trying than not. Glad most are making profit an no reason why that won't continue I mean trees don't stop growing! Lol
  16. if joe public only new the study and training involved and the cost of equipment and fuel. It`s a bit like sheep farming without the subsidies of course, done for the love of the job.
  17. Hi all, i`m still studying my level 2 and doing the cs modules, all while i work full time, obviously i`m now realising how much outgoings arborists must have for equipment, fuel , and so on. There seems to be a lot about these days maybe i`m just noticing the signage more, but is everyone in profit ? I don`t need figures just are you all doing well, just surviving ? I`m putting everything into my course and am enjoying it but just curious as to the average earning potential of a small but busy arborist. cheers guys

  24. Not a single grey squirrel here on the estate, a few reds is all, and not many greys nearby local keepers have exterminated them up these parts
