  1. The tackeuchi spec does seem a bit low, luckily we have a dealer that we know and have used before in town here so I can just pop in and ask? the bobcat dealer website has certainly been the easiest to use I’ve found ? I should probably do some paying work now?
  2. I've just made a list of names and numbers of companies who look like they might be able to help, Rapidpumps look like my first option, thanks??
  3. Rapidpumps, I'll add that to my list. Thanks.
  4. That's a hell of a wait! E19, so I guess its around 1.9 ton without the extras? Sounds like just the right spec for me too, canopy with extras? I dont use it a huge amount but I would plan on keeping it 10 years if I bought brand new, probably 3-400 hours a year, I've got 5 years and about 5 or 600 hours out of my old kubota. For me it's not about the hours the machine does, its the hours it saves- like my wheeled loader has only done 40 hours in a year☺️☺️, but that would have been hundreds of hours on a mini digger or thousands by hand!! Although if I had a brand new machine I'd be happier to look for more site work for it. Did you go through Bobcat to get your quote or a local dealer? I haven't had a quote for repair yet, new ones have been quoted at £2700 plus vat and delivery (wtf, a £1 bolt comes with free delivery, so does a big heavy track that's only £200, but a £3k 10kg pump you get charged for?). That's a non starter as the digger was only £5400 5 years ago! I'm hoping to find a repair for a hell of a lot less, but good point about moving it on due to contamination ? Thanks?
  5. Anyone know of any good deals going on new 2 ton ish machines at the moment? Would be nice to be able to choose what I want, rather than hunting down second hand machines, get a warranty, fixed costs etc. I'm struggling to get a sensible replacement price for the hydraulic pump on my kubota kx36-3 and I'm thinking of upgrading instead- the costs of the replacements I've been quoted plus what I think I'd get for it would as is would make a decent deposit. Although if anyone has any suggestions of where to get a good value replacement/rebuild I'd be grateful! ?
  6. I couldn’t really tell you to be honest. For splitting and the dirty site work that mine get used for it’s not really necessary for them to be that sharp, as long as the are roughly the right profile! ? I do know that when I have sharpened them they certainly take an edge nicely, knife sharp with out much effort ?
  7. I’ve got fiskars X axes in about 5 sizes, from the x10 hatchet up to the x27. The x27 and x21 get the most use, living in the log shed. The rest live in various toolboxes and vehicles for using on sites. I use The x27 for breaking down the big/hard stuff and the x21 for most splitting. The X21 and x25 are probably the best sizes for felling and delimbing, but it’s been a long time since I used any axe for that!!
  8. I finally got my dads mf35 put back together which meant I had enough space to get our 3 old tractors parked undercover and tidily ??
  9. After 10 years of buying LED Lensers higher priced offerings and finding they’ve gone down hill - getting far too clever, too many settings, less robust, elastic not as good, on/off switch too sensitive so it turns itself on in the truck- I bought 2 petzal tikkas last weekend. £17 each, simple, nice tight elastic, 1 button, just like the first led one I had 20 years ago, but a bit brighter???
  10. Theres quite a good group on Facebook called Same, Lamborghini, hurliman tractors on Facebook, someone on there would probably give you a lead.?
  11. What else would you use when you’re working in a builders merchant???
  12. I use these for all sorts, logs, rubbish, left over materials. Very useful, and free. ?
  13. That's what paid for mine? I had been thinking about taking out a loan to buy one, then a cheap, easy to apply for loan came along?
  14. Nice tractor? I asked on a group what it was the equivalent of, I’ve screenshot it in this picture. I can’t see me selling the loader, hopefully it will just be too useful and it should drop on and off fairly easily if I want it off for a while ?
  15. About time I posted a couple of pictures of my new tractor. It’s a Lamborghini 950 premium, done about 6600 hours. Ive had it about 2 months and the only thing it’s done for me is be a security block! My farmer mates tested it a bit in case their smaller John Deere conks out and he seemed to like it- well he supplied and fitted his old radio into it for me??- and he did a bit of flail topping with it, which is something I intend to do with it . we are slowly working through some oil drips, I took the lift rams off to be resealed this afternoon, as always one was easy, one wasnt? The loader wasn’t on it when I looked at it, it was literally in the nettles so I’ve had to replace a hose and some o rings on that as you’d expect, and I definitely think it looks better without the loader on! Im planning on getting it up to scratch and getting used to operating it over the winter, then from next spring hopefully have some work other than just my own to do with it?When funds allow I want to get a muck grab, flail topper, Harrow, 6 ton silage trailer(for chip) and a plant trailer, pretty much in that order???
  16. Just looked at the treehog, looks better than the stein one, but not as good as the TCF. And it’s more money, and not galvanised ??
  17. I’ve used another arbtalk members one of those a few times, it’s brilliant. Takes loads, the drop in pins make it really flexible, easy to fold the handle and chuck it on the truck, and it’s galvanised, like all metal equipment should be?? sensibly priced as well. I will be buying one at some point soon and making a bracket for it on the drawbar of my chipper so it’s always to hand?
  18. It is a very well done box, but I'm not sure if it's right for me- it does make it a bit of a one trick pony. Itll be staying that way for a long time yet though? Spanners out, flooding starts???? massive thunder/hail storm.
  19. First outing for the landrover and chipper combination, 2 small cherries in town then out into the fields clearing a fallen ash tree. Nice mornings work?
  20. I was supposed to be buying a cheap transit for a day or 2 with the chipper every couple of weeks??? oh well, I managed nearly 8 months without a defender (after 18 years of continuously owning one)?
  21. Handy things but not worth much. Where abouts are you?
  22. I like the look of that, exactly the same design as my Hyundai but with Honda Gx reliability??
  23. Thats what I thought! I saw the money in my Lloyd’s account 36 hours after applying, could have been in within 12 hours as I didn’t look sooner. Ive spent it on a tractor, which I think is is pretty much the point of it- I’ve borrowed some money that i can afford to pay back but probably wouldn’t have been able to borrow otherwise, and passed that money on , keeping the wheels turning ??
  24. 6t is pretty good going for 60hp?
