  1. Extreme wind and rain Reading area. Several failed branches no larger trees yet
  2. Haha you might get away with it just say you missed the branch Think about the time it will save when using a throw line. Simply stored in the fishing reel
  3. Thinking about investing in this as it saves so much time. Especially when you get your line stuck or knotted . Any ideas or reviews on whether or not to get it? Open for all views. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3pvIh-fSKc]VXL Launcher arborist - YouTube[/ame]
  4. Pm sent if your interested. Can take a van load of the Oak chip for free if you want
  5. What was the result between axe cuts and chainsaw cuts? Was there a big difference? Sounds like an awesome trip to see traditional tree methods and there impact .
  6. Has anyone ever tried cutting with an axe half way up a tree? I would try it if I had the opportunity. Would you?
  7. Thank you Delabodge I will give them a call straight away . Merry Christmas!!!
  8. Sorry I do keep those bits I would just like to hire a 6inch chipper as it will take the smaller branches easier . Firewood is not wasted here
  9. Does anyone know a good place with good rates to hire a 6'' Tracked chipper for 1-2 days plus trailer in Reading area? Thank you
  10. Unfortunately sounds like the best thing to do is to remove the Oak as it has out grown its area. Or it will just be stressed until it succumbs to failure. Replace it with a younger tree that is managed correctly (formerly pruned). I would imagine seeing how it has been reduced before it will come back after your round of reduction.
  11. Hello mate, Whats your email? I will send over mine. Regards Alexander Pettersen Firewood & Chip Tree Surgery
  12. Ok i see, is the reduction necessary?
  13. What was the diagnosis?
  14. Amazing carvings Do you sell them?? If you do could you PM me a price for a bear?
  15. That case you can keep the waste and get your money
  16. Awesome video showing 1940's Foresters felling large Redwoods Would be fun to fell a big tree with an axe [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qb_YNZn_kaQ]Redwood Forests - Lumber Felling & Milling 1940's - YouTube[/ame]
  17. Yes. But if you have asked his permission to remove the waste its yours. If he has not given permission then you may dump it on his drive or charge him to take the waste away. Or you can simply dump it on his drive and go but dump it so it does not cause upset i.e blocking access in the driveway. Best Case: You go there he pays for you to take it away happy days. If not and he accepts to have it back then you tip it at his. Worst Case: If you do go there to tip and he refuses to hear you out and calls the police you can say that you cleared the neighbours property and decide to chip the waste. And now am returning the waste to the owner of the tree. These are the scenarios I would expect and personally do.
  18. =--------------------------------------------------------------------= Take a look at other chippers like Greenmech, TP, Jensen, Bandit depends on how much you want to spend. Greenmech and TP are roughly £16K Bandits and Jensen are more expense. I am looking at a Greenmech 150 Arborist it has sold me on greenmech as before I never really thought that they were good but the 150 is better than timberwolf by far.
  19. His tree. If it falls for whatever reason and damages a neighbouring property he is liable. He is also the one to pay to have it removed. As he does not want to pay all you can do is cut the tree up and put the waste on his land and charge your client a fair price for your time etc. Its only when the tree is growing over the boundary line, the neighbour asks the owner permission to do the work and possibly pay half and if owner agrees to pay fair enough if not you remove it to the boundary line leaving the waste on the neighbour's side. hope this helped

  21. So sorry to hear . I hope you get it back in one piece. It is a unique vehicle so will be easy to spot for Police and the public.
