Currently climb on a hitch climber now but finding it potentially dangerous in certain situations. So spider jack or lockjack? Swaying towards a lock jack but unsure because they are not braked? Are they really jerky, and do you have much control over little movements? I also like the look of them more and the idea of the toggle instead of lever! Looking at this video, actually think half the problem was capston on a neighbouring tree so all the force of the top were pulled across instead of downwards which is what you would normally do. Don't think it helped not having a pulley etc Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

It's all very sad. Loosing her mother at a young age must be horrible. The whole celeb thing is just the world we live in now. Wise words :thumbup. I'm content with the tools side for now, but always interested where it could take you in years to come and what you could potentially end up doing. I'm only young at the moment, early twenties and have only been doing arb for a year or so. I love it, and very passionate about a good career in this industry. But where can it take you? I would like to think myself as a competent climber now, maybe in a few years, lead climber and So on, but is there any actually progression past this! I don't have any formal quals however looking into this. Just interested to hear what people have to say. Where has arb took you throughout the years and where are you now? Haha old mill, that's the problem I have just come from a seat harness so just adapting I think. Had a mess around today does seen a little better. How could I make a shorter bridge for it? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

Just got myself a new harness, although I really do like the sequoia it has crushed my jewels a fair few times today. I have altered the straps etc and think the problem is within the bridge? I think your body soon adapts and builds itself up to you the work you usually carry out on a day to day basis. I know when I first started arb I used to ache, and be in bed by about 8 for the first 2 or 3 weeks, now it doesn't seem too hard. However doing a big reduction requires more fitness, but I do think a good technique and conserving your energy help and thinking things through a bit more you can god for longer Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

Glad you have got a cv sorted, but think you need to calm down, take it slow and start, and engage brain before you type. If I was a employer I don't think I would be ringing you back as you haven't made a very good impression of your self so far. I know everyone probably tells you the same thing but just keep hassling companies. I got into the industry and 20 with no tickets quals or anything just desire and passion of wanting to learn. I pestered and pestered for jobs everywhere ringing each company once or twice a month until they finally cracked. And then when they do crack make sure they know they have made a good decision and prove that you are a good lad. Just be positive, just be positive and think "I know I will get a job it's just a. After of time" You really will love it when you get a chance I've been doing it over a year or so now and have done so much more than I ever though I would, you just need drive to succeed. Be polite, and mainly try and speak in English when you type too, I know it's only a forum and you probably think everyone's a time waster but there's a lot of genuine people on here who live and breathe arb, you really can pick up so much from here so be grateful for the people helping you and trying to give you a chance. Harkie smock, they are very good. They have extra long back to wear with a harness. Really good Material that withstands, and doesn't rip at all! Very very durable, they are around 85 so quite a lot for what looks like a hi via jacket but they are the db Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

I would imagine you could climb on a hitch climber, however they will probably still want to see you tie a prussik or blames. Don't think you'd be allowed to climb srt though Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
