  4. To be fair as long as you know how to perform the cuts properly and there uses, that's what matters. It all comes with experience and getting to know different woods and how they snap. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app
  5. You we're correct in the first instance. It's an upright step cut on a lateral branch that enables you to make the cut without the branch falling (weight dependant) so you can then switch the saw off and hold the branch with both hands and as you said snap the cut and throw safely. Hope this helps? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app
  6. I do mine weekly
  7. Apparently it's buteifull
  8. I had one of the older models but it never let me down (proper work horse). A bit noisy and underpowered but done the job and towed fine.
  9. Willow, Poplar, Conifer Awesome
  10. I use sip freedom c, they're a looser fit (can't stand tight trousers) They last well and i climb in them all the time. £150:00 including VAT and delivery from winchester garden machinery. They come up quite big.

  12. I reckon they'll fit the missus, i need a new groundie:001_smile:
  13. Top handled saw in a tree using one handed i regret to say, knelt on top of conifer clipped my knee wearing safety trousers so no damage there but saw kicked up and chain went straight through below lower lip.a long time ago and certainly due to inexperience. I'm still gorgeous though!!!!!

  19. cheers, didn't realise they'd be up to stumps that size. i thought it would knock the arse out of it. the reason i want it is to get to tight access stumps assuming i should get the right money on them. Are there any negatives about the machine i should know about and is £3,150:00 plus VAT a fair price for a brand new one with spare set of supa teeth
  20. it's a miracle we get any work done really isn't it?
  21. hi everyone, i'm thinking of buying a rayco rg13 ii stump grinder. i've seen them in use and am quite impressed but am wondering how long they last. i want something for the odd fell and grind, nothing bigger than 2ft diameter. any stumps bigger than that i tend to sub out.
