1. That's the best bit of advise in this whole thread. Well said as many of us have done the same and you can't ever get that time back. Wish someone had said what you mentioned to me my boy is 23 now and when we look back at photos of days out,, weekends and some holiday's there is one person missing from every photograph. ME:confused1:
2. Wear are you based?
3. Yep them the boys are they 35mm? 75mm are the ones with a gear system.
4. No messing there bud and am sure you'll like them. Which ones you gone for?
5. In that case then deffo FISKAS I have the 75mm ones and 35mm no fancy moveing parts but operate on a gear system. Also if you after telescopeic ones go for the FISKAS ones aswell they are brill.
6. Have been using FISKERS for a while now and have found them really good and not exspensive. Just confirming you do meen loppers and not secateurs? I use FELCO secateurs thery are the best of the best and last for ever.
7. Nice one woods I'll check it out.
8. It happens a lot bute. people never chess to amaz me.
9. So you wouldn't want that RANGER on top gear last night then? It was the dogs and next doors as well.
10. Same chipper been doing the rounds for at least a year. Don't touch it.
11. Hi Jon think makes sense new engine or get a ranger. You know you want to bute:laugh1:
12. Yes your right there bute a have had it for a while now and it's very good ,yes free hand always be best but this is as good and probably a bit better. It gives brand new chain sharpness and once Set up its fast. Still use free hand when in a hurry but when you spend £135 on a tool you gotta love and use it. Draw back is the new carbide files are £35 each but am sure will come down in price at some point.
13.
Hi Jon Your 880 thread has disappeared. Was it moved because you were advatiseing selling your 880? What's that all about then?

14. Why? Don't be silly you brought drinks mate. All balances its self out during the day. Nice burger though:thumbup:
15. Hi Edd wear as the week gone? This time last week we were eating a £5 Jamie Oliver beef burger. Ya will have BBQ set up and kitchen sink ha ha. See you in a month or so.
16. Alrite jon, no worries bute it was a good weekend can't belaeve it was this time last weekend. Have to sort out another catch up may be football in Bristol or somthing. Not anough atmosphere at the rugby for me mate. Let me know if you going CUTTERS AND CLIMBERS in April I know Edd will be going as it's not that far from him.
17. Meeting up at CUTTERS AND CLIMBERS show combined country show Norfolk show ground in April. Few friends going already but my first time there have herd good things so thought give it a go. Be good start to the camping year.
18. Morning jon next meet at CUTTERS & CLIMBERS Norfolk in April.
19. Yes. BUXTONS sell it there based in Cannock. It bute rope and being 12mm it's suites s/j z/z and should be good for what you want and comes in 45mtr lengths. Costs a bit more then your average rope though £150.
20. ELDERID 12mm POWERSTATIC.
21. If you are paying to put them through there tickets personally I would write up an agreement with them that if they leave you inside say 2 years they need to repay say 60% of the training costs. To many of these lads are geting there tickets paid for by good employers who do the best for them such as tickets, ppe etc then months later decide to go somewhere else or have a go themselves. Just me as to what I would do. At least you don't loose out to much if they jump ship.
22. I also have a zigzag most are using 11.7 blue tongue or tachyon. Am using 12 POWERSTATIC. if you can get your hands on some 13mm even if worn slightly and try it even before you change the cam and just see how it works. Then get so,e if it's ok.
23. The small spring keeps the cam close tension on the rope. If the spring fails there is to much space between the cam and rope and causes the cam to wear quicker. As said I would change cam and go for bigger mm size rope. Only a suggestion.
24. Threres some nutty dogs out there aswell. The ones who go around munching on womans Beavers are the worst. What you think jon:laugh1::laugh1:
25. YALE scorch 13mm. Agreed a little tight at first but wears in and sits nice in no time and self tends bute after a short time. Climbing on it 2years or more and never ever had a single problem. As they say if it an't broke don't try and fix it. Don't forget you will loose 1 to 1 1/2 mm of rope width through stretch and wear. 11.7 mm down to 11mm or less 13mm down to 12mm. Figure it out.
