I bought a cheap chinese water pump off ebay, 2" petrol powered. Use it to top p m pond out of the brook, completely illegally of course. Anything more than ticking over and it will suck the stream dry. 1" is going to be plenty.

Tell the neighbours the tree is unfortunately dying and to mourn its loss you will be planting 10 leylandii in its place.

There are hardly any minor differences never mind major ones. Works better on nettles when they are very young and growing rapidly or later on just as they start to seed. The later one can be very effective.

The most lingering smell from my childhood is the smell of cattle on a funeral pyre of railway sleepers in the foot and mouth epidemic of the 60's. I was just a kid, although my family were farmers we grew stuff we didn't have animals as such. I never really realised just how much of an effect it had on me until the more recent outbreak. When they announced on the news that foot and mouth had come back I just burst into tears. From my bedroom window in the 60's I could see next door burning their cattle. Everywhere you went there was just clouds of smoke as the railway sleepers burnt. That smell of burning hair/flesh and creosote. Nasty!

If you don't report it the crime figures look a lot better than they are and policing could be reduced as a result. My faith in the police has waned greatly but I won't let them off by not reporting crime.

Worst ones look like phytophthora, ones with just the tips burnt look the same as all the ones around here. (20+ miles from the sea but still think it is salt)

The hi-vis does spoil the picture, no doubt about that. Still a real nice picture and I had it as my home screen for some time. Took the pic at a forestry show a few years back. I really wished I had stopped to chat but I will be honest and tell you I was a bit choked at the time. I spent a lot of time with horses at one time of my life and it all came flooding back, not that it ever really goes.

You are welcome The above needs doing whenever the brakes are getting to not work. The more you turn the pto on/off and use the power steering the more often it needs doing.

Bleed nipples are in here, where the arrows point to. (apologies if you already knew all this)

Standing at the back of the tractor look at where the axles come out of the main casing. On each side you should see a bleed nipple for the brakes. Slacken one of them off with the engine on tickover and wait until fluid comes out. Nip it up and then do the other one. Chances are your brakes will work again. If there is a lot of crap in that area it is no harm to take the nipple right out and clean it before starting the engine. From memory you will need the ring end of a 7/16" combination spanner. Don't use the wrong size, they round very easily!

We have one on a 35. lift arms come off the tractor and the "arms" on the lifter bolt to the rear axle as above. Another link goes to the top link pin hole on tractor end. Whole thing is fastened solid to tractor, hydraulics provide lift, tilt etc. Not a setup that goes on and off like on 3 point linkage. I have a 3 point linkage version too for other tractors. The Sanderson is usually for a specific tractor.

Gomtaro are good saws there is no doubt about that. As a first saw they are a little cheaper than others and by time you have worn it out you will know what to replace it with and why, be that a different model or the same again. The question I answered was "which first saw", not "which Silky do you like best".
