  7. great thanks. It looks as if it may have ran lean or gasket was leaking. Hard to tell as it has sat around for so long though. Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
  8. Hi guys just inherited an old Murray 10/30 mower. Engine is Briggs and Stratton 10hp. It had sat for around and the inlet looked as if it was full of sand. I've stripped it down and split the case and the internals look okay. The exhaust valve looks a bit burnt and I will replace. My concern is the notch in the piston, is this normal ??
  9. You would need to sit C1 test then again a C1+E test. Expensive way to go. Transit is 3500 kg usually so still falls under C+E?? Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
  10. No matter where the throttle is the governor spring is loose. A tiny bit of tension on the spring and it holds constant rpm. Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
  11. Yep spot on. Springs are loose. I've ordered up new springs. When engine is running the governor arm is bouncing about as it has no tension on springs. Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
  12. I have a champion mower and its been great for years. Recently its begun to run poorly. It will not maintain a constant RPM. revving and hunting. I think its do do with the springs on the carb as pictured. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Mike

  15. This might sound crazy but.... Have you looked at golf buggy controllers? I work on the biggest wind turbines in the world and it's a golf buggy controller used to pitch the blades. Just a thought. Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
  16. Looks like a 50? Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
  17. our company policy is dependent on use. So for a manager who uses a harness once in a blue moon it could be the full manufacturers guidelines. But for regular users it could be one year depending on the wear and tear. Fading of material and heavy freying of material is usual failure of harness. Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
  18. Haha I bought a Chinese saw as all I needed it for was firewood. It has paid for it's self so many times over in just one season ! I would be surprised if husky built a saw using "cheaper or inferior" parts. Most things are re branded now. Posting anything about a saw that isn't stihl or husky is always going to get negative comments! Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
  19. All saws are going cheaper. I'd hardly say husky and stihl were made to last nowadays. Everything is going plastic and throwaway. I hope you get good service from the Mac. Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
  20. I think you should get a stihl 5200! Lol Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
  21. So Maggie Thatcher asks Jimmy Saville.... How many miners have you screwed... Politics are politics but certainly won't be missed in my neck of the woods. RIP anyhow. Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
