  1. I have a 5200 chainsaw and its fine for what it is. I wouldn't use it daily for professional jobs. Its fine for firewood. I paid £56 and its paid for its self many times over. These forums slate anything that isn't stihl or husky.! Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
  2. Haix always done me proud. Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
  3. My understanding is that you need to be trained and competent. How you prove that without formal training I don't know. Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
  4. It is 1.3 mm at the moment. Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
  5. yeah I know that, its 50 drive links. Was just looking for opinions on type of chain and chisel type etc. Cheers Mike Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
  6. Its a 1.3mm 050 guage that is on it at the moment, but i bought a 1.1mm 043 bar and chain just to see what difference it would make. Its a chinese saw, same as AMA top handle.

  8. These are just small ones. 75meter to hub with 50m blades. Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
  9. Just as eco friendly as chopping down trees.! I think they base it over the life span of the machine and the carbon foot print. Revenue in a 24hr period is around £7k per machine when windy. Most farms now are paid for in 5-7 years. Pays my mortgage ! Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
  10. I broke chain on my top handle saw when a twig caught it and took it off the bar. I need to replace it and it got me wondering what chain gives best compromise all round ? Its only a 10" bar. I've bought two chains to try but was hoping for a few expert opinions! 11. Loads of people send me CVs and are so keen to climb up turbines. The reality is climbing is not our jobs...were electrical, mechanical and hydraulic engineers all rolled into one lean mean machine. 11minutes to climb ladder. 3 minutes in lift! Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
  12. Lol they have there own regs. Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
  13. Much prefer the lift Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
  14. It depends on the company you work for. Some of the larger companies do internal training courses which are compliant to renewable UK or global wind. my most recent training was all done through a company called heightec. Training is just on how to use safety kit really. As your not allowed to train above 20m! Turbines I work on range from 75m to 125m Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
  15. Sure is to both ! Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
  16. Here is what I do for a living.... Not quite a tree but a decent climb!
  17. Mercedes 4x4 truck instead of unimog? not as heavy on juice, proper cruiser and selectable 4x4 with diff locks. Or any other 4x4 truck ? Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
  18. I know the 35 has live drive. Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
  19. Mint show condition they fetch 6k+ 3k is fair price. Perkins 3cyl engined ones fetch more than the 4cl standard ricardo due ease of starting. Ours is a work horse and has done us proud.! Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
  20. Which Chinese saw are you using ? I have a 2500 and 5200 and parts are easy to get. chains sharpen fine and I would use till it was low.
  21. Screwfix do a range called erdborgh or something. Had my 18v drill 5 years and still going strong. Good warranty too. Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
  22. Erm if you want to go knock one out then fair enough! Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2

  24. Had to give it a go. This log was fresh cut today. Works really well! Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
  25. Are the batteries sealed ? Had problem with 3 leisure batteries which had been left discharged for some time. Drained the batteries, added fresh acid which was bought from motorcycle shop and they were good as new. Motorbike batteries are shipped dry. Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
